had to laugh the commentators were sitting in an open aired box at Ozzie - the ABC . @GB reckoned that the commentators box had leaks so it must have been a very pleasant day.

The toruble is that as Warriors don't have a very big fan base the stadium looked empty but all the time the camerman has his back to the home crowd. So what looks like 300 he could have 8,000 sitting behind him.

Saturday night looked a shocker in the city but the AFL drew a big crowd - and they were sitting in the rain - oh the pleasures of pay tv..can watch the games in me pj's hot water bottle and dressing gown with a blanket over my knees. (hey dear turn up the gas will you it's only 22 degrees)

Great crowd of 12,000 odd today, considering the other sydney teams only got 6,000 odd this weekend. I know they didnt play sydney opposition but neither did we.

Surely Cronulla has to start getting the type of crowds it enjoyed last year sooner or later. Provided the weather isn't too bad, you would hope the Sharks, especially after a big win in Townsville could get close to 17K.

Warriors are now only 4 wins out of the 8...so maybe we might finally see more than 10K worth of Kiwis turn up, and heres hoping Wests Tigers and Broncos matches can be a bit bigger to 'buffer' up the crowd average.

Dragons v Broncos has the potential for 40K, and a 20K plus crowd isn't unrealistic for the Wests Tigers.

Potential, yes. But the fact that it's on almost immediately after Origin II at the same venue will ensure a substandard crowd is in attendance, IMO.
