Considering what the Sharks got, it's about time people stopped giving the Storm sh*t for their crowds considering we managed to get at least 13.5k to the first match of the season where there would be only 500 fans at most in the crowd who supported the Tigers.

f**king woeful crowd at brookvale
which is apt considering the fan based and the state of the ground

must of been tops 10k there, and even 20 points up, they had to be told to cheer, then a portion of the manly fans on the hill took exception to the fact the Raiders Army were still having a laugh at 20 points down and decided to throw cans at us. On top of that we watched nearly 20 minutes of football under rubbish lighting, and paid 25 dollars to stand a f**king sh*t house hill... Brookvale is pathetic.

Luckily most of us pre-purchased our tickets as it was going to be a sellout :?.

Brookvale and Toyota crowds were disgraceful.

So we are not even breaking last season's crowd average for Round One with a match to go?

Thanks a lot Sydney - Brisbane provided the foundations for a record setting weekend in terms of crowds, yet you bunch of clowns managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

yeah big difference though...a beautiful sunny day in brissy today, and a clear night on friday night, compared to a miserable saturday night in Sydney. I'd wait till tomorrow night before judging the Sydney crowds

You didn't have to come to Brookie!! You don't like it, you know where the exit is and don't let the door hit you on the arse on the way out!

Would have been better without you there anyway

KooK - the Titans crowd was pretty disappointing too IMO... maybe Brisbane did get saturation of league this weekend but gee, 10,000 empty seats for the opening game of a new club isn't very good.

Not impressed with any of the Sat figures except Warriors - a big improvement on the past.

Definitely not impressed with the Newcastle figure either. Woeful considering the billing of the game, but at the same time, it was atrocious weather.

The Sydney/Soufs game only need get about 26k to break the average.

Remember, last years opening round avg beat the 05 opening round yet fell short... there's still 24 weeks for everyone to get out there.

KooK... did you go to Suncorp today? If not, why not?

So it is true

God did break the mould when he made queensland. It is beautiful one day, perfect the next... So why did he fill it with dickheads like your good self?

Souths and Roosters will need to get 30k plus to save the round from being labelled a disappointment.

We shouldn't have to 'just fall over the line' when it comes to crowd records - we should have got a 25,000 average, things were looking pretty good. If the Sharks and Manly got, say 5,000 more to each game, that would have made a great difference to the results.

Went to the Broncos game.

It wasn't that long ago SEQLD was barely pulling in 20,000 a FORTNIGHT. The Crowds have certainly improved out of sight, but to rag on Sydney like this is just complete and BS.

It was sh*t weather In Sydney, the NRL put nothing into promotion until, oh Wednesday, and there's nothing like a Reigning Premier opening the season with a derby and a new club playing its maiden game to bring in the crowds.

Your butt must hurt from riding that high horse.

Keep in the mind the Broncos got about 17k to their first ever game against Manly in 88 and the Crushers attracted 23,000 against Canberra in 95.

Titans are well in front in that regard and now hold the biggest opening crowd for a debut club in the history of the game.
