Both Adelaide and Perth based teams in the AFL would also get alot higher crowds if they had the stadiums to do so. AAMI Stadium is pathetic as it is in a horrible location and is far too small (especially for the Adelaide Crows) and for Perth Subiaco is far to small aswell as both West Coast and Fremantle have large waiting lists for people who want to become members. Luckily Perth is getting a 65,000 seat stadium in 2016 but some say that even that is still too small.

How about the game that was only 60% full at AAMI between the two Adelaide teams?

The only time Subiaco has been full in the last five years has been for a union game, three weeks ago. This despite the Western Australian devoting an entire nine column inches of copy to the match on the day. Seven pages of AFL, three of NRL, nine inches for union. Full stadium. Union,

we got 12,000 when we handed out free tickets to people with NZ passports...souths handed out a sh*tload of free tickets and still got less, but we still have fools thinking they are more well supported!! even though souths are going quite a bit better than us on the table, we can still attract a better crowd for the same game in the same timeslot. lol

All things being equal the Dogs are the best drawing club in Sydney. The only club ever to average 20,000 and the only club with the real possibility of doing it regularly.

Oh my gawd that's a poor crowd at Brookie for the team leading the comp.

Was a terrible crowd at Brookie, but I was there and it was brutally cold. I was wearing 4 layers, including a heavy jacket, beanie and scarf and hood and was still freezing.

We normally get around 15,000 so not really fair to judge our crowds based on friday night.

If the federal government would stop pandering to marginal seats and give us some damn funding to help build a new stand behind the hill it will keep a lot of the wind out and would be far more comfortable. A little weather has never stopped me standing on the hill but you can understand parents not wanting to bring their kids out in that weather.

You can't buy a season membership for the Eagles as they have been sod out for the last 3 years. You have to go on a waiting list. There is a small number of seats set aside (usually obstructed views) for away fans. Other than that it is "sold out" most games hence why they can show the games live into Perth. Subiacos capacity is 43,000 and the Eagles have had an average attendance of close to 41,000 since 2005. Dockers have avergaed 36,000+ for 5 years as well so I would imagine there was a fair few sell outs in that lot.
