28,103 at Lang Park

Pretty small crowd considering, beautiful day & both teams in good form. On the footy show they said they were expecting 40K, I don't think anyone took that seriously. Dragons game is on during the Ekka so that should be at least 45K, Tits should be 45Kish as well.

The Raiders never draw a crowd up here. I remember i went to a broncs vs canberra game in the finaly year of the Broncs days at ANZ, the crowd was 22,000 thanks largely in part to a gazillion free tickets. The crowd was hailed as a phenomonal success. Was a big talking point at a time when the Lions were surging.

Now 28,000 is a poor crowd?

Sure its not great, but i imagine its their best crowd against the Raiders in a fair while.

toyota was pretty full. id say 18k at the most. all clubs fudge the figures a bit.

the key thing was that the new stand was full and so was the hill and standing areas. good to see.

when it gets more than what was there it gets a bit uncomfortable.

thats the thing.

next week we have souths.

now they did win so there will be a few more souths fans there.

there were 17k there last year but that was when the souths wagon was full.

we should be getting 14-15k depending on the weather.

And so far this weekend:

Round 21 - August 1-4
MAN v PEN - 7,862 @ Brookvale
MEL v GCO - 9,400 @ Olympic
CRO v STG - 18,256 @ Toyota
NQL v SYD - 14,061 @ DFS
SOU v NZW - 9,276 @ ANZ

28k not bad but not great for Broncos yesterday.

The last three home games, however, will be awesome.

Vs Dragons - easily 35k, possibly over 40. Heaps of the Red and Whites up here.

Vs Titans - easily over 40k, perhaps pushing over 45. Would be a sellout guaranteed if they were travelling better.

Vs Knights - decent drawing team here, and likely to be the last home game for Wayne Bennett. Promoted as such, and we should see 40k easy.

Form pending, of course.

.

I read somewhere that scotty prince is trying to get back for the Broncos game. If so crowd numbers will go up heaps.

The Broncos certainly flying the RL flag.

Please, do make your point.

What purpose does rubbishing Sydney crowds achieve, particularly on a forum full of diehard supporters? Yes, Brisbane/QLD achieve good crowds (primarily due to an entirely different set of circumstances), but what are you achieving by having a go? Most fans on here concerned with crowds are ones that already do attend all games they possibly can.
