There were sh*t all Knights fans there compared to Manly fans.

Very true... the much vaunted Crusade were barely visible and the "Screaming Eagles" were much louder. In general the stadium was dominated by Manly fans. Very disappointing.

If the game were on a Sunday afternoon would have tons more Knights fans. Cant expect many when its on a cold Saturday Night with 3 of our best players out.

Oh yeah, nice one...

Meanwhile 72,000 rock up to a game at the 'G that was minus one of the best players in the AFL.. Not to mention the round 1 game between the same two sides got 71,000.

When's the last time an RL regular season game got that many to a game can I ask?

Not bad, eh?

But yes a GC RL team got more to a game than two interstate teams got to a game only a few weeks after one of those teams snubbed the Gold Coast. Must be proud of that.

I love RL and all and back them on most things but you cant win a debate about crowds in AFL vs NRL.

all i'm saying is it's good to see there's still places where nrl out ranks afl...

let them have there 70,000. plus crowds afl is are better sport to watch at the game then on t.v even do i hate the sport thats what i thing ...where nrl is better both ways and much nrl surporters rather stay at home and watch the game then go out there and pay heaps for tickets and food etc.

OK, but it wouldn't hurt to provide half price tickets for families to games that don't draw big crowds.
It costs a lot to take a family of five to the footy.

That's your problem then. Manly chose to make this game far more accessible to the away fans by playing it at Gosford and the turnout was pisspoor. For shame.

good to see almost 3 times as many fans at the rugby league game than the AFL game last night.

AFLs position in queensland is precarious at best.

another nrl side there would more than likely kill off the brisbane lions
