Paul Osbourne has stated that he wanted parra to go back to their old emblem and 80's jersey which wont happen next year but should be good to go by 2011.

Mybe it's just because I grew up with them, but the 80s NSWRL logos are the best in my opinion. Not cartoony or stylised, I actually like them from an artistic point of view.

The old one is classic. I think most teams would do well to revert back to their old logos

I don't think the Knights one has changed since 88. Maybe just the lettering, but the helmet is the same.

I would like to see the NRL use their logo on the jerseys as opposed to the current sponsor inspired monstrosity. I think it cheapens the competition a bit.

I also would love to see numbers go through the grades (1sts get 1-13, Reserve Grade 14-26, Presidents Cup 27-39, subs in each grade 40+), but I know it will never happen.

I think you will find it was the 80's + 90's. Also I said it would never happen. Or did you just stop reading when it fits into your argument, or lack thereof?

If you go to the Raiders site they have three options for their Away Jersey, polling fans to pick the best one. This is option A.

Agreed. The current logo is my personal favourite. My 2nd favourite would be the first one - probably because of the shield shape. It took a few years for me to like the 2nd one. I was never a fan of the square (boring) shape of it, but in it's latter years, I came to like it for being unique (no other NRL team has a square logo). That being said, I loved the new one from the moment I saw it, so it wins hands down in my eyes.

Logo 1: 1988-1997
Logo 2: 1998-2007
Logo 3: 2008-present (probably 2017 I'm guessing!)

If they did change it in 2017 I'd like to know how! I reckon a cool alternative would be a shield logo with a Knight astride a rearing horse, sword pointed in the attack position.

The new Canterbury logo is already in this thread, plus on a couple of people's sigs. Having a look in the Bulldogs section would also be an idea.

As for the Knights logo, I think their strength is in their image. The knight helmet with the flowing red thing on top is a recognisable image of the Newcastle Knights. The Knights have just updated their logo (twice) instead of a complete overhaul. This is the way to go in my opinion. Whether they add a shield shape to the background or not, I suppose we'll find out in about 8 years!
