There definately should be some sort of rules on sponsor logos being incorporated into the jersey.
I like the way the Sharks LG jersey looked, or St George with the bank, or Parramatta with Pirtec hydraulics not being too invasive by using an apropriate colour scheme and design. Same goes for Bulldogs now with jaycar.

The broncos away strip is the most boring yuck jersey in the NRL, especially with the logo.

The maroon one isnt as bad.

my view on stylez jerseys

bulldoggs: good as is, maybe g retro towards 80s...put tha growl back on da doggs face.

Tigers: simplify yoself....less white as well.....get a black n yellow design and a yellow and black design, no white required.

parra eels: going 80s they rule,BEST OF DA BUNCH HOLLA, MAYBE put a blue shimmer into the pLain blue to modernify it a bit. tha slightest of all changes

Penrith: keep it black n brown: take the cheap looking pantha away and go 80s.

manly: not that bad, a bit of blue perhaps 95 style>?

roosters:
go back to EASTS or at least sydney city and keep tha rest.

Souths: remove side panels.

newcastle: their 80s/90s jerseys go good. Get rid of that white alternate poo.

brisbane: horrrrrible billboard

Melbourne: MO' Purple, mo' purple. brand recognition yo. melbourne failed miserably they hav potential.

warriors:
stop da merry go round

Thuggdogg, one of the requirements Canterbury put to designers of the new logo (they asked a few people to come up with a design and they chose the best one) was that the dog wasn't to be snarling or have sharp teeth. This is to make the logo more 'family friendly'. I think you'll find even the logo they've been using for the past 11 years has rounded teeth if you look closely enough. I'm not 100% sure about that though.

My big problem is the Warriors jersey - I HATE the Canterbury jersey template - the worst jerseys ever.

In the NZ rugby provincial competition, most of the teams wear jerseys made by Canterbury, and they all use the same template.

Simply horrid.

I think the move to traditional-looking jerseys is a plus.. although one thing I would be wary of is too many teams using the same colours (eg Warriors, Panthers & Tigers in mostly-black strips - we don't need any more strips that are mostly black)

Off the top of my head, there are 3 classic sports teams colour combinations that are not represented in the NRL
* Red & Black,
* Dark green & white (eg Boston Celtics or NY Jets)
* Red, Gold & Black (eg German representitive teams, Waikato)

Red and Black is the North Sydney (Central Coast) Bears

Red Gold and Black is the Western Australia (Perth) Reds

Dark Green and White - no one uses this as yet, however Canberra are looking at a dark green and black away strip for 2010.

He said in the NRL..

If you haven't heard, the NRL will probably be expanding in 2013. Those teams would use those colours if readmitted, which is very likely. No current team would change to those colours. None of those colour schemes even remotely resemble the Warriors colours.

Dumb trollish post hellteam.

maybe we should sew real dogs mouths shut so they will be "family friendly" too.

Where did he sat to change the warriors colours to any of them? He said he hates the jersey template. He actually didn't say any team should change...

some guy named Jame Gumb was hanging out at the macdonalds at auburn, trying to get some of the girls eating there to help him make his new jersey.

no idea what club he works for though.

He said the Warriors template was bad and then talks about jersey colour schemes... I then mention that the schemes mentioned are not options for teams as no current team uses those colours and they are possibly reserved for future teams. Your reply to this was a spastic comment pointing out they aren't in the NRL....

dur, i is smarts in brisbane, pla'in ma banjo awl the day.

I think that red and black would possibly conflict too much with Warriors (if the outfit were predominantly black) and with the Dragons in their Steelers outfit if mostly red.

The second one could definitely work, but Canberra, like a few teams, can be ambiguous with it's shading of green.

Have you got a pic of the 3rd option?? It doesn't seem like it would match:?

If clubs actually stuck to their original design and colours there'd never be these issues.
Unfortunately unless you're a Dogs', Parra or Dragons fans it's probably not going to happen.

Also got a classic like yellow+white or black+yellow to use.

Southern Orcas bid team were using Black/Yellow/Teal iirc
Central Coast Bears should take care of Red/Black
PNG's bid is using Red/Yellow/Black
WA Reds jersey is Red/Silver, it'll be interesting to see if they stick with that for the NRL team.
Central QLD's bid is using Red/Gold/Navy
Ipswich's QLD Cup team uses Dark Green/Gold/White so a West Brisbane NRL team might use similar colours.

They might not be classics but there are plenty of good combos left for us to use I think.

They're not in the NRL. He just said they were classic colour combinations. not that anyone should take them.

Resorting to banjo jokes aye... have to do something to pass the time I guess after losing 4 Origin series in a row and having your club fail again (to us):D

LOL who cares about origin? Half the players are islanders, or Greg Inglis who is from Macksville playing for QLD. I enjoy the specticle and quality of the game, but I really couldn't care who wins.

And dude, I've been a Dragons fan for about 24 years now... nothing anyone can say can really stir me about their performances...
