It becomes a problem when two or three years ago the Tigers with x-Blades decided to add a little Tiger swipe in the corner of every number. It meant that 8's and 6's from memory looked almost identical, to the point where the NRL intervened IIRC. I like the big boldness of the 'Dogs and Broncos numbers, I believe a Nike styling? I do kinda wish they were standard across the board but it's probably just a bit too controlling.
Does anyone have a mock up of what the new bulldogs logo will look like on the jersey?
What do they look like? What makes them so unique?I like the military style font but it doesn't matter much. So long as they don't look like the AFL ones.
JAYCAR EXTENDS SPONSORSHIP
Thursday, September 24, 2009
On the eve of the biggest NRL finals game in history, Jaycar Electronics have extended their premium jersey sponsorship with the Bulldogs, locking in for a three-year multimillion dollar deal.
Jaycar Chief Executive Mr Gary Johnston has been blown away by the extensive reach and return on investment provided by the Bulldogs in 2009.
“Our involvement with the Bulldogs has gone above and beyond anything we could have imagined,” Mr Johnston said.
"So far they have over delivered on all our expectations. They had a pre-finals accumulated television audience of 16.4million (NRL average: 13.3million, AFL average 14.9million), they are the most visited website in the NRL and they have the highest home crowd average of any Sydney based club.
"We 're a business looking to broaden our brand awareness and these figures clearly show that the Bulldogs provide an ideal platform for us to do this.
"We initially partnered with the Club because we were impressed with their strategic direction and the incredible change in perception of the Bulldogs brand in the broader marketplace.
"The outstanding form on the field has been a bonus and we wish them every success going into tomorrow night's game."
Bulldogs Chief Executive Mr Todd Greenberg says the deal is an acknowledgement of the value offered by Rugby League and the Bulldogs in particular.
“This deal is an important step towards securing the future of the Bulldogs and it's a great vote of confidence in the direction we're headed," Mr Greenberg said.
"That an organisation is prepared to commit to a long term deal in the current climate is no small achievement and we look forward to continuing a successful partnership with Jaycar."
I definitely agree with the "less is more" adage, although I'm not opposed to clubs being more experimental with their alternate strips.
I find integration of sponsorship into the jersey design a greater concern. Some clubs have it spot on (Gold Coast, Parramatta, NQLD, NZ) while others are shocking (Brisbane, Melbourne).
I'm a fan of the designs done by the Jersey enthusiast over at Gazzzaf Design ( www.gazzzaf.com ).
I'd be thrilled if the Broncos moved to something similar to this mocked up design:

It's a mock-up, not real.Lovin the Bronco DesignSimple yet effective. Bold with a hint of summer fruits.....anyway, I like it.

In 2011, yes.i think parramatta are going back to a 1980 logo and jersey, think it will be the same as the 2008 centenery logo jersey?
