2010 Crowd Watch II

At least Gold Coast and Saints have/will the good crowds flag flying.

Good crowd for the Roosters tho...They usually only get a 1 legged old lady a boy scout and an escaped nutter in a donkey suit that thinks he is a chook to most games.

Wasn't the point I was trying to make. Are you honestly happy with 33k? Had it been Dragons v Roosters/Tigers and 33k turned up I would have been really disappointed.

To answer your question, 18k to 18.5k will be at Kogarah tomorrow. If the ground restrictions were not in place, 20k would be there.

It's not even a pure rectangular ground.

A friggin Oval still.

At least Leichhardt and Brookie are rectangular these days.

Kogarah is the worst ground in the NRL imo. I'd rather be at Shark Park, at least it's the right shape and you can get a full strength beer.

Round Total: 92,583
Second highest total in 10 years ( I haven't looked further back than there but the crowds were pretty low in the late 90s following SL.
Highest 2006 - 104,457 (50K + at Lang)
Lowest 2008 - 71,015
10 year average -86,328

Looking further back early 90s, pre-SL. The first round of finals would usually get ~100K - different structure of finals and they were all played at SFS with an ave of 25K - I remember the north and south stands used to look fairly empty but maybe returning to the SFS has some merit

Should be big crowds here on in.
Bruce should get 25K(should)
Should be 30K at the football stadium

Are the Dragons at SFS in a couple of weeks? Dragons Tigers would be a sell out, Dragons Raiders would also be pretty large

Titans should crack 40K in brisbane (with help from away fans/many brisbane locals who like league)

If the Dragons happen to play the Tigers in the prelim final you would like to think ANZ Stadium would be the venue.

I reckon they'd get 60k at least. There would be twice as many Dragons fans at that game than there were at Kogarah today. Big finals game, big stadium, big atmosphere.

All Week 3 preliminary finals that involve 2 Sydney teams should be played at Homebush no matter what. We want 50-60,000+ crowds for these games.

wonder if the dragons will consider a home final in wollongong when the stadium is done?

You owuld think so, they played at Wollongong in 05, and have played Kogarah last two season. If they have a home final and Wollongong is finished next year you would imagine it would be the venue

For Season Records including finals and assuming 82,000 at the GF.
For record total attendance to beat 2009: 111,406 are required at the Week 2 and 3 finals or an average attendance of 27,851
For record Average attendance to beat 2005: 160,217 are required at the week 2 and 3 finals or an average of 40,054

Record total attendance should be broken by about 10-20k.

Record average attendance unlikely, unless the Dragons play Roosters/Panthers at Homebush and get 60,000+ and Titans get a Lang Park sell out.

Disgraceful.

So much for everyone wanting to go to Kogarah.

Even if there wasn't 1 single Manly fan at the ground that crowd would still be on pathetic for a final and they can't even use the old equally pathetic "it rained for 5 mins before the game so it kept people away" excuse. A deplorable crowd from a deplorable merged entity who will inevitably choke against the team that owns their sorry arses. What is it against the Raiders? 1 win against them out of the last 12 meetings?

i reckon the titans final at lang park is a really good opportunity to pull 40k+. no broncos in the finals, if queensland really is gagging for rugby league they'll pack the place out.

Raiders would get about 22-23k imo
SFS probably around 25k

Titans highest crowd was their first with 40k at Suncorp.. will probably get that much-ish

The Dragons prelim should draw in excess of 50k

People on these forums are too obsessed with numbers and are missing the point. If saints cared about the crowd figure, the game would have been played at the sfs or anz. Simple.

Great suburban ground. Great atmosphere. Great win Saints. F*ck the rest of you that are so obsessed with seeing the Dragons fail. Its embarrassing. Jealousy is so unattractive.
