Even though there weren't many, the panthers fans were really loud and most stayed to the end . Thought that was really nice lol .

Need 209K in the last 3 games to break 2009's finals record and 143K to beat last season's overall record.

Yep, penrith fans should hang their heads in shame tonight. Truly couldn't have been more then 1000 of them at the ground given their 3 supporters bays on the eastern side were at best a quarter full.

20,000+ roosters fans = 5000 more than the supposedly most supported club in the comp could manage at their home final

only 23k for this game, between 2 Syd teams? Thats terrible, no union, no Swans, no competition........Thats truly disgraceful

Kick both teams out NOW

Great idea!!

Now lets just find reasons to punt 3 more teams and the eels might actually make the 8

Can't expect much from Penrith fans but there was easily 20,000 Easts supporters there. If Penrith played their part then easily 35,000 would have turned up.

Even though there weren't many, the panthers fans were really loud and most stayed to the end . Thought that was really nice lol .

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

That's funny. They were as loud as a cats fart.

Strangely I don't think there's a case to punt the Roosters, but based on crowd figures Penrith, Cronulla and Manly are three Sydney teams with A LOT of work to do.

Penrith have the biggest and most interested captive audience out there yet systematically continue to fail at converting that into attendance. Part of Manly's problem is the venue but the Dragons seem to regularly get near-full houses at Kogarah so that doesn't make sense... and well Cronulla... are Cronulla.

f**k all penrith fans out there tonight.

Thought the crowd might be a bit higher than that. All but two bays on the western side full, Western Upper tier close to full, eastern lower side pretty damn full.

Good game though!

Penrith got some truly woeful crowds at home this season,if Panthers fans won't even turn up at home games they were never going to show up at the Sydney Football Stadium tonight.

Timmah if you were familiar with the RL fan opoulation out at Penrith you would know that when families moved out there they took their team loyalties with them, and kids generally follow whoever their family does. Will take ages for the Pantehrs supporter base to grow to huge levels. Average performances lately haven't helped.

I'm of the opinion that if you were raised in the Penrith area and don't support the Panthers you're a traitor, but I'm probably biased in my frustration. Still, f**k em. Jerks. Support your local team and their solid junior base.

Please Penrith - do not infect our finals series again...please.
It was a big city finals stadium Brutus. Aren't they suppose to automatically draw 30,000+ crowds?

What went wrong?

P.S.
Did you attend the game?
