Im pretty sure there has been two Anzac Day games that got over 30k,one was in 2005 which can be seen tonight on Chooseday Night Football, and the other I can't remember exactly which year.

ANZAC Club match was 27k last year, and that was the biggest yet for Chooks v Dragons. Not sure how much of an improvement on that we will get this year. I will be very happy if it cracks 30k.

In 2009 it was just shy of 29k. It's broken the 30k barrier a couple of times with 32,270 being the highest in 2005. If it doesn't get near that record I'd be disappointed.

The only way the game between the Dragons and Roosters will get 30k+ is if 29,996 Dragons fans show up because the Roosters only have 4 supporters.

If the Sharks can get 10k people to pay to watch them, that will be very impressive.
That's pretty rough...

Since then they have had 2 30-40 point losses. Also the first few home games are usually going to be higher and still they barely scraped over 10k.

But if the Roosters can't get 10k, and the Sharks can that is impressive. I just don't think it is likely, not against Newcastle anyhow.

what are the reasons for thinking that the Dogs will get 18k? Their form has been up and down, and now vsing an interstate side who won't bring more than 1k supporters

I know that i am decades behind the times, and havent looked at this for ages, but has Broncos support in Sydney really fallen by this much? I can remember that the Broncos were always the biggest drawcards in Sydney, presumably because of the expat Qlders living in Sydney and also because everyone down there wanted to beat them. Has the club fallen that far now, that they can only find 1000 or so local supporters? And are they not still one of the biggest drawing clubs in sydney for away support?

It's the Broncos, even though they are in poor form (excluding the result against the Sharks), most Dogs supporters would relish the idea of watching the Dogs put one over the Broncos given the Broncos record over the Dogs, it is generally one of the Dogs better drawing games traditionally.

It's one I am making an effort to go to, and I generally only get to 3-4 games a year.

Last 6 vs Broncos
31-Aug-2008 - 7685 (last home game of a pathetic year from the Dogs).
15-Jun-2007 - 10121 (The weather if I remember correctly was particular bad that winter, with all teams getting crap crowds at that time, with the other Fri/Sat games in Sydney getting 7,341 & 5,831 & 4,202)
18-Aug-2006 - 26111
22-Jul-2005 - 29112
2-May-2004 - 171040
23-May-2003 - 25673
