No chance in hell we'll be able to beat Ghana and Serbia

The Ghana match is pivotal. Given their win today, by the time we meet Serbia they should have nothing to play for. If we beat Ghana, I think we can take Serbia, whose performance is perhaps influenced by confidence more than any other.

It's still a big if though, and if Serbia jag a win over Germany, well we're f**ked.

Again, if anyone seriously thought a team of broken down old donkeys like Moore and A-League hacks like Culina, led by Verbeek, were going to compete with Germany then i guess perhaps now they've finally woken up to reality.

Pim - what a wanker. If he keeps those tactics up for the next two games he'll set football back 10 years in this country!

The lack of pace between Moore and Neill is becoming a massive liability.

And the number of times Neill plays people on is absurd. Who is calling for the back four to move up and why isn't he listening?

This isn't really the time or place to be playing it safe.

If you want results, you play your best side. When things are going awry, you don't replace your best players. When you do, sh*t happens - such as the Raiders winning the 1989 grand final.

Seriously, the entire German defensive line could have gone off to have a coffee after the first 10 minutes of that game and nobody would have noticed that they were missing.

Dude, it was 4-0.

We need emerton in the next matches. Save his legs. That being said, if fit Kewell should have been the one to replace him again, to get some game time in his legs

People rubbish Hiddink all the time saying he got lucky, he did nothing etc etc what a crock of sh*t. Shows what can happen with a world class coach

Man we were terrible, while the Cahill tackle probably didn't deserve a red it was still a terrible challenge.

So disappointing, I feel bad for Schwarzer

Verbeek going into this game with a second rate lineup was always going to be suicide, Holman and that other guy whose name im not going to even try and pronounce should have been on from the start.

On to happier topics. Who should be our next coach? Who do we look to in the future from our playing stocks?

What's that got to do with the emerton substitution? :?

Nothing mate, I moved on to Schwarzer two posts ago.

However, in regards to Emerton - and Cahill and Bresciano - I don't understand how you are supposed to compete with a good side if you don't throw anything at them.

Once cahill was carded, I am happy pim didn't bring on kewell or anyoe else. Would have been pointless to risk Harry in a game that was completely gone.

Was a horrible game, but we could have very easily been first to score, and could have been back in it 2-1 in te 2nd half.

Hopefully we can regroup and beat ghanna. A fresh Harry given an extra week to recover should help IMO

I find it funny that people think if we had scored early it would've been a different result, Germany didn't get out of second gear, they could've put plenty more past us if the game was on the line IMO

hey i stand by what i said.... sure maybe i was too complimentary to Australia.

but as as far as germany does i still stand by what i said.... Klose & Podolski were in terrible form. and Ballack is still out... so to be far while Australia have probably played them back into form... i still dont think its a given that they will beat ghana & serbia

i also said that Australia's biggest problem is there manager is too conservative.

Lets play an offside trap with our aging, slow backline against a quick and expansive team like Germany! What could possibly go wrong?

oh.

Haha my thoughts exactly bumble. f**king idiotic

that said, I watched all of Serbia v Ghana and neither of them were impressive at all. I do think we can beat both of them but we seriously need to f**k off Craig ffs Moore
