Any figures to back that up?

Just interested.
Well look at our almost 20k membership tital.

The only ones who'd have a shot of making more revenue would be the Dragons, Broncos and Bulldogs.

We've already established the Bulldogs memberships are cheaper than ours.

Are the Dragons more expensive? Are the Broncos significantly more expensive? If not then we do have the most revenue.

It's really hard to even speculate without knowing the breakdown of more expensive memberships.

Broncos top season membership costs just over $700 I believe. Although that contains tickets to SoO. So not quite the same.

The season membership without SoO starts at $250 and goes up to $480. With 4 different seating categories opposed to the 2 for Souths.

Pretty insane that it is cheaper to get a family membership with the Bulldogs than to get a Gold category Adult membership with the Broncos.

I rememeber when I was little and I was the only Souths fan and I was made fun of for being a fan of the "loser club".
No you were made fun of because you were the president of the loser club. And don't pretend you're a long time Souths or league supporter.

Suddenly it's the "cool" club and there's kids all over the place going to school with Rabbitohs backpacks.
Of course they are.

Wouldn't a double announcement be nice in the next few days...first club in the history of rugby league to get 20k memberships AND Wayne Bennett for 3 years (aka 3peat certainties).

I thought Souffs already cracked the 20k mark when they were re-admitted in 2002?

01 Apr 2011

The South Sydney Rabbitohs are proud to announce that the Club has surpassed the 20,000 Member milestone yesterday (Thursday) with a pair of brothers dead-heating for the historic achievement.
The Rabbitohs and their Members have stood shoulder-to-shoulder to reach this mark, the first NRL Club to do so.
Brothers Jackson (6) and Jordan (4) Basha from Oatlands in Sydney joined as Junior Members of the Rabbitohs yesterday with father Gerard, who is also a Member, signing them up for 2011. The boys’ mother Katherine is also a Foundation Member of the Rabbitohs.
Being the first Club to hit 20,000 Members, of which over 12,000 are Ticketed Members, proves just how passionate Rabbitohs Members are about supporting their Football Club and the team in the best way possible.
Rabbitohs CEO Shane Richardson has paid tribute to the Members of the Club.
“It was only four years ago that our Club had 9,000 Members of which 3,000 were Ticketed Members.
“To be a part of a Club that now has 20,000 Members is a testament to the wonderful support we receive from our Members off the field, and the wonderful job our staff have done to make this possible.
“This Club has led the way in the NRL in bringing Membership to the forefront and it’s just reward for our Club and our Members to be a part of reaching this historic milestone.
“Our Members understand the importance of Membership, our players and coaches understand the importance of Membership, and we feel we have been one of the driving forces behind Membership for the whole game.
“In saying all of that, we still have a long way to go if we are to compare ourselves with some Clubs in the AFL and we can’t rest on our laurels.
“We encourage everyone who is a passive Rabbitohs supporter to show your support for the Club in a tangible way and become a Member.
“Our Members are our most important stakeholders and if you truly want to support the Rabbitohs you need to become a Member.”

Good to see how far we've come in just a few years. From 3k ticketed and 6k non to 12+k ticketed and almost 8k non.

The next goal for the NRL as a whole has to be all clubs into 5 digits, and eventually all clubs go past 20k. Hopefully by then we'll have 30.
