These were the numbers posted by the NRL and the clubs roughly around the same time last year and this years numbers in brackets.
Broncos: 9,500 (10,400)
Raiders: 2,100 (2,900)
Bulldogs: 4,200 (7,300)
Sharks: 1,200 (2,300)
Titans: 3,600 (5,900)
Sea Eagles: 1,800 (3,400)
Storm: 0 (0)
Knights: 3,900 (5,200)
Cowboys: 6,000 (6,300)
Eels: 5,100 (7,800)
Panthers: 1,800 (3,000)
Rabbitohs: 7,000 (12,800)
Dragons: 2,000 (10,300)
Roosters: 1,600 (4,200)
Warriors: 2,800 (4,200)
Wests Tigers: 1,700 (4,600)
The encouraging thing is everyone is up compared to this time last year, naturally something have influenced that such as Dragons going on sale earlier this year, and most clubs finishing their renewal periods earlier, but growth is still growth. Also encouragingly is most Sydney clubs generally doubled their membership numbers at this point by the start of the season, meaning targets like 20K for the Dragons and Rabbitohs are not unrealistic.
It also means the likes of Wests Tigers, Roosters, Warriors, Titans are on track for around 8-10K worth of members, and Bulldogs and Eels might push towards 15K.
