2011 Memberships

how hard is it for the nrl to do a weekly update just tell the clubs to send in there numbers on monday then update it not that hard if clubs dont apply take there mebership info of the nrl site

No not really Red.

A question for others, there are 3 types of "membership":
1. Leagues club...normally $10 a year...just like an RSL club.
2. Footy fan membership...for tickets to the games...the numbers we all speak of on here.
3. Football club membership...actual voting members of the football club...generally most clubs only have a few hundred members.

Can people confirm 2 and 3 are different. I'm sure they are.

With Saints they are.

1 Leagues Club membership is $65 for 5 years for full membership, less for asssociate which has no voring rights for Leagues Club meetings. Leagues Club is simply that, a card that allows you access and discounts at the Club.

2 Red V membership (ranges in price), includes ticketed and non-ticketed memberships, access to player functions, merchandise and discounts at the Dragons Shop.

3 Access to St George District FC AGM but no voting rights as St. George Illawarra Football Club is a separate entity that you cannot get voting rights to unless you are a member of either STG of ILL board. All we get is a "year in review" yearbook and an hour or so update about what is happening at the Club. Oops forgot to mention free party pies at the end!

Looks like Souths will hit 10K tomorrow! Maybe the NRL will provide a league wide update tomorrow to coincide with them hitting 10K??

I asked them today as I signed up my best mate...an old Bears fan. He's been looking for a club for a decade.

They also told me they are doing a big membership push in the media this weekend in conjunction with the NRL, Manly & Cronulla..."Battle of the Beaches".

Fair enough. 6000 is good, we've hit last years number (thereabouts) 2 months out form the start of season.

As for beating Manly and Cronulla in a battle for memberships...lol, even we can do that.

They have and fair play to them, although other clubs dont really have a Russell Crowe to fall back on for free marketing on memberships etc.... which seems to be working a treat for them

Slater & Hayne are around on par as the best - Stewart and Boyd probably next, then Dugan. Barba will sh*t it in by the end of the season though
