yeh Tigers are a mystery, even if people don't buy full ticketed memberships due to the grounds issue you would still think they would be up there with non or partial ticketed memberships.

No not really Red.

It's more like, join the leagues club and get $10 worth of pokies vouchers + free drink, etc.

Of course, you would be able to buy a footy fan membership IN the leagues club office.

Having said that, the Roosters are offering free leagues club membership this year when you sign up to a 2011 footy fan membership....whether that includes the "free pokies" remains to be seen.

A question for others, there are 3 types of "membership":
1. Leagues club...normally $10 a year...just like an RSL club.
2. Footy fan membership...for tickets to the games...the numbers we all speak of on here.
3. Football club membership...actual voting members of the football club...generally most clubs only have a few hundred members.

Can people confirm 2 and 3 are different. I'm sure they are.

They are for Roosters. Most clubs have voting rights after 3 years of a normal membership as far as I know.

It is apparently very difficult to get a voting membership for the Roosters.

seems there would def be an opportunity to market better to the Leagues club members that are not NRL club members then? What sort of membership numbers do the Leagues clubs have, roughly?

Yes football club members number in the hundreds.

Leagues club memberships are many thousands...Penrith & Parra for example would have tens of thousands of Leagues club members. A lot of these are people that live close to the club who like a cheap feed and pokies. Many of them wouldn't know Wally Lewis from Andrew Johns.

Souths have 15,500+ football club members

Long gone are the days of a few hundredFC members

Maybe when SSLC re-opens we can think about using that organisation to advertise membership

I dont think so no. At Parra Leagues, the old admin tried not to associate the Eels with the Leagues club too much. I suppose they wanted a less footy like atmosphere for the folk that go to play the pokies, of which there are alot of.

The new admin is different. They are plastering the logo all over the Leagues club. I love it.

I know Parramatta has 600 voting members (400 voted in the Fitzgerald turf out).

That was a few years ago now. That was for the football club, not the leagues club. (the leagues club controls the NRL side and NYC teams. Football club controls the rest). It was very difficult to become a football club member a few years ago. It was almost like they didnt want more members. Now I believe there are a lot more then 600 members.

The Leagues club has something like 40'000 members, most of whom can vote. (that was the one that saw the old board over thrown)

Perth Red. Panthers has 10,000 odd members. All the Leagues club members can vote even on the $8.80. Football Club members can't unless they are also Leagues club members. Of that 10,000 that counts Bathurst, Glenbrook etc. So some just be a member to attend as they are in the 5km radius. Of the people that would vote. Mixed messages stem down & even a dm I know was unsure of their voting status. After we voted we rang around & had a good 200 people that didn't know they could vote. It must be different constitutions for every club.

Its like $20 for 5 years at St George Leagues, but if you want voting rights its $65 for the 5 years.

Everyone knew leading up to GF day only members and 1 guest would be let in, so they were flat out 9-9 (apparently) signing up members.

At Souths you can not get a season ticket unless you are also a SSDRLFC member. Though people who live interstate or can't get to games who purchase a FC membership also get voting rights. So at Souths the situation is in reverse to most other clubs as we will have nearly - and probably more than - 20,000 FC members and f**k all LC members.

Sorry, to answer your question, at Souths points 2 and 3 are not really different as both give you voting rights.

15,500 - 18,716 FC members

around 6-8,000 LC members
