The Leagues club should up the price of their Leagues clubs membership by $10 and include a basic NRL club membership to everyone who gets a Leagues club membership. It would give the NRL club a massive database to market to as well as extra income and might convert some to become full members eventually. 3k for Penrith is a disgrace, imagine if they had all the Leagues clubs members as NRL club members and could direct market to them.

Why would most Leagues clubs members want to pay extra for something they probably don't give a sh*t about?

Out of the 60k or so members at Panthers only about 10-20% probably support Penrith. The rest won't care about helping the Rugby League team.

That's still around 12,000 to direct market to though.

They will have to put a question on the Membership form about 'What team do you support?' then. Most of the Membership are just Renewals too, so no form needed.

I guess for New members they can start doing it.

I agree.

I don't like the idea. I think Leagues club memberships would drop. What extra services is the club offering for the extra money they would be charging? Why would anyone pay it if they don't care about football?

Instead of forcing leagues clubs members to buy the more expensive one how about giving them the option. Sticking with the status quo or upgrading. That way non rugby league fans are happy. And leagues members who are fans have an easy option to get footy club membership. Even if a small portion of leagues members chose to do it it would still be a massive increase for most clubs.

Stupid idea, league clubs members are people who would rather sit inside drinking all day whiling watching on tv in then go to the actual game.

As of Jan 27.

Knights have seen an increase of nearly 3,000 in a week.

Roosters doing pretty well. Should exceed last year's total by next week or so, and hopefully roll onto about 8000 by April.

Great result for the Knights, clearly the news about Tinkler wanting to invest in the club is having a positive effect on how fans view the club.

Knights on fire!

Should crack the 10k mark easily from here with well over a month to go until the season starts.

Knights will go gangbusters if the deal goes through!

Hopefully the Sharks deal can be advertised more and hopefully will be successful and we will see the same kind of movement.

Some strong numbers there! Great to see.

Seems the Broncos have been stuck around the 11K mark for ages now. Strange that a team that averages 35K+ only has 12K members. Hopefully they see a surge before the season starts.

That's one reason the Brisbane II bid is so relevant.

The Broncos have plenty of fans who don't feel they need to truly support their club because there is no threat.

There are tonnes of people who hate the Broncos and love RL so they go to Suncorp every 2nd week to suppor the game.

And there are even more who hate the Broncos that they don't want to go to any of their games to support the clubs coffers.

Souths on top where we belong, everyone better get used to that, you'll be seeing a lot of that this year. Most of the time from March to October.
