Who would you want charging on to the ball 10 mtrs out from the line..
A rampaging Taylor ,or a run sideways Parker..
Give me big Dave anyday.

Exactly......a rampaging Dave Taylor 10m out?? f**k!!!!

A big fast man will beat a smaller fast man EVERY time in RL .......it's a no brainer

Parker has been very good with the Broncs this year. He has refined his hit, spin and offload game very well. His commitment can't be questioned......leads or near leads the stats every week end. Taylors commitment indeed could be questioned with the Bunnies

.......I don't care. It's the Bunnies. Who wouldn't get the shits playing with those merkins.

He won't let QLD down and as the incumbent bench player deserves the first bite of the cherry.

JMO........

I remember a game when Queensland played Dallas Johnson and David Stagg ... we lost. I can't see the sense in playing two or even three workaholic type players.

It's already odds on that Dallas Johnson and Ashley Harrison will be in the side, so playing Parker will be overkill. We need Dave Taylor to come on at the 30th and 60th minutes and raise hell.

As much as it upsets me, I agree with Mr Fourex that Cronk deserves a spot in the 17 EVEN IF Smith is an 80 minute player. If JT or Locky go down its great to have that sort of cover. Plus it enables blooding a future half without too much pressure of just being thrown in and expected to swim. My next option if Cronk was injured still would not be a hooker, but a little excitement machine named B Barba - the kinda guy you want on your bench if you're down by 8 with 10 mins to go.

I also agree on D Taylor ahead of C Parker. With Johnson and Harrisson, there is no need for C Parker. D Taylor does bring greater potential even if he parks out on the wing. SOO might put enough fire in his belly to come in 10 metres to boot.

Jack Reed to denounce his English-ness for the QLD number 3 jersey. PREDICTION.

He's a Bribie junior and has lived here since he was wee laddie. No different than McManus, who was born in Scotland (Preemptive Troll Defence).

Assuming Hodges and Inglis don't recover in time, who do QLD go with to partner Willie Tonga? My vote would be to go for a young bolter. Someone big and strong with good skills and a big motor.

I like Jack Reed* from Brisbane, and Esi Tonga from GC. Titans also have Steve Michaels, who should probably be ahead of the others in the pecking order, but I don't like him for Origin. Fast and skillful, but too sketchy defensively. Dane Neilsen should be in the mix aswell.

There really aren't a lot of other options, unless they go with a back rower like Lillyman or Gavin Cooper.

Have I missed anyone?

*For the record, Reed is an Englishman, but has lived in QLD since he was a laddie and played his junior football (he never played in England) for Bribie Island, before signing up with Norths Devils in the QLD cup.

If both Inglis and Hodges are out, and Berrigan is unavailable, I'd go for Neilsen.

What do you guys think of Shaun Berrigan in the centres if Greg Inglis is still unavailable?

1. Billy Slater
2. Darius Boyd
3. Shaun Berrigan
4. Willie Tonga
5. Jharal Yow-Yeh

I must admit I haven't seen much of him this year, but he's playing for the Warriors today and been pretty good for QLD in the past. What are the odds at Inglis being fit?

You're right ... why's that? Shaun Berrigan is a former Test centre and a damned good player.

Berrigan was so bad at centre in the first half, he missed two tackles that led directly to the Knights first two tries. He was so bad they put him on the other side of the field to hide him. Missed more tackles and generally played like shit and was hooked a few minutes into the second half.
