I would beg to disagree. He played some great games for Australia at centre, in particular a World Cup Final played in Britain.

And then you watch Origin games from 2005 against guys like Gasnier and you realise he'd been worked out.

I do think Parker offers more off the bench than Johnson, but if it were up to me Johnson would be starting and Harrison to the bench.

You can take it as read that Harrison will start at lock and Parker has got a bench spot along with Hannant and Cronk. I think there is uncertainty with the final bench spot though

Berrigan is usually a good, if not top rate defender. Yes, I think going into a game with a cast may be a subtle clue as to why he had a shocker ...

I'd favour Dane Nielsen for the centre position if Inglis is injured.

just stick taylor in the centres, thats where he is most of the tiem anyway. just ahve him running at soward/pearce all night, even allowing for him getting cleaned up by beau scott he's still going to tire out the nsw halves

Jack Reed to denounce his English-ness for the QLD number 3 jersey. PREDICTION.

He's a Bribie junior and has lived here since he was wee laddie. No different than McManus, who was born in Scotland (Preemptive Troll Defence).

I'm a Broncos supporter, and if we don't have a better option than Reed in for Inglis, we in all sorts of bother

Berrigan for mine, without thinking about it much

Too bad Tatey is injured, but I guess thats par for the course

Oink !

Btw another potential spanner in the works for QLD will be if Parker gets charged today regarding his clash with Cecchin on Friday.

Why do they name the team so late? Is it because everyone basically knows the team apart from 1 or 2 bench spots already?

No it's because we like to f*ck with what little NSW has left of their winning psyche.

Berrigan was crap yesterday a looked like his hand wasnt fully healed. I would not be picking him if I was a NSW selector.

Reed has to be way down the list too

It was that merkin Check In (yes i know thats not his name) that put his hand on Parker. He should be suspended for life....f**king merkin prick head

Yes, but Check in still gave him 10 mins. Check In reminds me of another Kelvin Jeffes - arrogant wanker

Pretty sure traditionally both teams have usually announced it on Tuesday. Then a few years ago NSW decided to start doing it at half time on Monday Night football for some reason.

And now this year, Stuart wanted an extra day in camp so decided to announce it on Sunday. So it's more NSW doing it early than Qld doing it late I think...

OK ... Seven News tonight showed the hand-written team list held by Queensland selector Des Morris. Apparently they reckon it was in Mal Meninga's hand-writing. Not real surprises here ... this is the team:

1. Slater
2. Boyd
3. Inglis/Nielsen
4. Tonga
5. Yow Yeh
6. Lockyer
7. Thurston
8. Scott
9. Smith
10. Civonicivea
11. Myles
12. Thaiday
13. Harrison

14. Cronk
15. Lillyman
16. Hannant
17. Parker

18th men options: Johnson, Taylor, Zillman

channel 7 news reported that the camera got a glance at mal's notepad and saw a team list. if he gets what he wants it will be parker and lillyman on the bench, nielsen on standby for inglis and 3 possible 18th men: taylor, will zillman, or someone else?
