Mateo is bigger then most our back rowers bird, watmough, Stewart etc

I thought he was unlucky not to get picked ahead of t williams for Australia, although Williams certainly made the most of his chance.

My mistake then. I thought he was one of the smaller ones! His skills at club level have impressed me but as stated above he can be a bit of a liability in defense. Would be interesting to see how he evolves and progresses this season.

Hopefully, Although not the greatest coach Stuart is somewhat putting a action-plan into sequence and starting to get a step-by-step plan together for training and building ideas on his squad selection.

Gould is only a phone-call away and hopefully Sticky can somewhat get him involved and we can build off-that. He is our most successful coach (Gould) and he has the footy brains. He can help the NSW Blues and hopefully he is willing to.

Back on topic..

Who has thought about having a smaller player like Mateo in the squad? Good ruck speed and a great offload and a strong passing game. I love watching the guy play and think he can do well in origin if he can hold to the pressure and keep developing.

Hmmm, Mateo sticking to a game plan and controlling the ball????? Doesn't really like to get down and dirty in defence either.

Oh I saw him on plenty of occasions failing to commit any energy or urgency in defence last season Vic. He did, however, manage to control the ball much better over longer periods of the season. No doubt there.

Can't see Pearce being punted. Sheens was saying Moltzen could step up and play for the Blues, that's how dire NSW's halfback stocks are. Wallace could be a contender, but if the Blues selectors have been of the opinion that if you're not Andrew Johns, you're not good enough to play halfback for NSW.

Grant also did earlier, but both won't be picked probably. I'd prefer to give Grant a chance over Mateo

No matter what we will need a miracle to beat Qld. Cherry evans, cronk and Jt are the three best hakfbacks in the game.

Last time I checked:
- Three players don't win a game
- They are still human, They will make errors in their game
- DCE is yet to even play for Origin and start his 2nd year. He could suffer from 2ns year syndrome, a premiership hangover. We don't know yet.

We can win it. We need to get the right team and play strong as a team for eighty minutes the whole time.

DCE had a first great year, but I'd like too see him go well at least this year to put him in the same category as Thurston, Cronk

Beau Scott moving to centre, has he just lost his spot in the NSW side? Discuss!

I don't see why it would, he's proven himself at origin level and is the incumbent. I doubt he'll play the full season there anyway.

Disappointing to see Bennett hasn't had a positive influence on Uate's defence, at fault for the first try and nearly gifted them a second.
