It is a lot different for backrowers when their front row is Scott and Civ instead of King and Merrin.

I would have Lewis over Thaiday anyday. If Lewis was a QLDer he would be considered up there with the Slaters and Smiths. He is probably the most complete player in the game really.

Merrin played a grand total of about 8 minutes of Origin, his time will come in the next couple of years

Lewis would have a hard time making the Qld bench. Would battle it out with Costigan, Parker, Gillett etc. May get the 18th man spot. Dont get me wrong hes a very good player but he would struggle to make the side.
Quite funny really because he one of Nsw best.

This is funny because they have no idea who they are yet. The fact is Qld backrowers pick themselves due to consistent top shelf performances in SOO. There is not one single NSW backrower that can say this.

NSW only have that dilemma because we have a large number of quality backrowers to choose from. QLD's 4 backrowers choose themselves because they've done a good job for QLD, but also because they don't have a large number of talent outside those 4.

Most of our backrowers are locked in anyway.

Yeah, because QLD have Cameron Smith, the #1 hooker in the game who can even make Melbourne's pack look good. QLD also have the two best props in the game, in Civo and Scott.

I dont think you watch the game closely enough. Lewis cant do the work that Myles, Harrison and Thaiday do. Particularly the hit ups. Harrison constantly takes shortside hit ups when theres nothing on and get smashed. He does this very well. Lewis would be stretched off after a couple of these. Myles and Thaiday are just better.... run harder , tackle harder. Lewis has a better passing and kicking game but backrowers are judged on the prior skill more.............................. moron.

In the past I would agree that Lewis has been pretty average in origin, but in game 2 and 3 this year I thought he was pretty good. His try and the tackle on Cronk were all big plays.
