Solves the potential UEFA ban problem, although the EL might still get messy

Redbull get "promoted" I guess, if they're fair. The draw is on before the verdict I think.

How pissed off would they be to not gain entry in to the EL while FC Pasching are there from the regional league lol

Verdict is out tomorrow. EL draw is on Friday

Red Bull could argue that they might have beaten Arsenal, but an EL spot is better than nothing

I'm sure they would rather have stayed in the CL...

With sides like Napoli and Sociedad in tier 4, and BVB and City in tier 3, we could have a couple of groups of death.

I want to see a group with Bayern, PSG, Napoli & Citeh just to hear the cries again as they go out of Europe after the group stages. Barcelona, PSG, BVB & Napoli is pretty tasty too.

Here's the pots as well for the draw:

Pot One: Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Arsenal, Porto, Benfica.
Pot Two: Atletico Madrid, Shakhtar Donetsk, AC Milan, Schalke, Marseille, CSKA Moscow, PSG, Juventus
Pot Three: Zenit, Manchester City, Ajax, Borussia Dortmund, Basel, Olympiacos, Galatasaray, Leverkusen
Pot Four: FC Copenhagen, Napoli, Anderlecht, Celtic, Steaua Bucuresti, Viktoria Plzen, Real Sociedad, Austria Vienna

I reckon the only way to make a clear cut top and bottom two would be to have Olympiacos and possibly Ajax (they've only won 3 CL games in the last 2 years) and then Vienna & maybe Plzen. Sociedad don't have the quality they once had either, so I'd say they're pushing shit uphill to get to a Europa league place.

Copenhagen are probably one of the better teams out of pot 4, on the coeficcients, they're ranked the highest! In saying that I'd still rather them than Napoli or having to travel to Steaua.

I'm sure Man U will get the easiest group imaginable, again.

I'm resigned to having Milan/Juventus, Cityhad and Sociedad in our group.

How do Cityhad get in to pot 3 anyway they haven't progressed from the group stage in their only 2 attempts.

Gotta give it to Redbull even though I despise their existence in football it would be a joke to promote a Turkish team. If they don't Redbull will appeal that for sure.

Their coefficient gets dragged up by the England FA. If Liverpool were in the CL they'd be in pot 2!

A decade ago when the national coefficient counted for more, they probably would have been in pot 2.

The most ridiculous part of the calculation is that the difficulty of the opponent isn't factored in (like it is for the FIFA rankings).
