The draw for the Cabramatta International Nine's has been revealed and features the following 7 Ron Massey Cup clubs: Mounties, Cabramatta, Auburn, Burwood-Ryde United, Blacktown, The Entrance and Kingsgrove.

The competition also includes a variety of country, local and international teams with most being heritage based although PNG will be entering two teams featuring the best talent from the strong 'Digicel Cup' national competition. The PNG teams will be in Australia for a number of games including a match against the South Sydney Rabbitohs on Feb 9 at Redfern Oval and based upon past results against the Prime Ministers XIII will provide tough opposition at the Nines. Japan will also field a team comprised of players from their domestic competition.

That must be a record - 12 international sides plus the Koori. Disappointing that Vanuatu has not returned after their good performance last year.

There is a bit of parking inside the ground (if not bogged by rain), otherwise local streets. The crowds have never been big enough to cause a parking problem.

Japan play an Intl against Portugal 6pm Norford Park, Sefton Thur 31st. Real shame about Vanuatu. Amazing, the Philippines has 3 sides. They knocked over BNRU in one of the finals last year.

More signings for Mounties - Lancen Joudo (wenty) and Grant Lahey returns from Group 6 Premiers, East Campbelltown.

With all these players the Mounties Sydney Shield team must also be looking very strong.

Both these guys played with Belrose A Grade at certain periods last year after being dropped back from Manly NYC. Theo is a great player, wing/centre and works his backside off and is quick. Tunui is a solid backrower with great feet, thought both would have been picked up by somebody by now!

My exact thoughts....anyone who looked remotely available has been snapped up by Mounties. The test will be though those guys who belive they should be playing NSW Cup/RM Cup being dropped to Sydney Shield and whether or not they stick around buying time in a third tier competition. Their depth will be great if they can hang on to everyone!

More signings to come boys, we have only announced around 30 so far so we have at least 6660 to go.
Our aim is to buy every player in the state and and when there is no one left we will sell them back to the highest bidder and build an evil empire based solely on the carcasses of the fallen..

There is an add ob the CBJRL website seeking players for St Johns under 19's and Sydney Shield for 2013. The contct is ex Newtown trainer, Michael Habib.

So St Johns dump the Bundy side that won 9 in a row last year but continue with the Shield team that won no more than 3 games in the season. Work that one out!!!!
