2013 Bundy Cup

Galea was captain of the State Cup team last year and trained with the Raiders over summer so I am sure that he and Shackleton are merely putting another game under the belts.

Because OAMPS cup have only trial status there is no points cap - Shackleton and Ben Ellis would take up 40 out of 100 so even Ellis may have trouble fitting into Bundy when the real comp starts.

Cabra have Israel Folau's brother Ene in their Bundy side. Aaron Teariki is on the bench and he played with Wests State Cup last year.

Cabra take on Belrose in SS. The Eagles were fairly casual with trials when they came into Bundy years ago but if the big guns - Jason Wells, Jim Curtis, Shannon Cameron, James Mortimer, Dave Marando etc - are on board and ready to go, they will go well.

It appears Mortimer, who is about 27 and looks much like his younger brother, Daniel, will be coaching the Eagles this year. Perhaps he can lure his other brother, Tim over from Valley.

No such luck Roland, Timmy has gone back to Orange after finishing his teaching degree at Uni and accepting a job back home.

Mounties seem to be the goods this year in both SS and Bundy.
Any news on the team lists for Kingsgrove, Blacktown and Guildford?

Guildford have released zero information.

The NSWRL really need to employs someone that keep records. The article says that the Entrance won last year. They make these mistakes regularly.

The reality is that Windsor beat Auburn in the final in a game where the lead changed several times.

The Entrance won their first game and then got hammered by Cabra in their second game but made the 3rd place playoff where Wenty also hammered them.

surely the games at lidcome oval on sunday are not cancelled already ?

Last year NSWRL stuffed up by cancelling games early in the preseason only to see the weather fine up for the weekend and the ground playable. Let's hope they're not that STUPID in 2013 ;-)

The entire round was cancelled before 9am

In all fairness, the conditions of all grounds are pretty poor at the moment with no likely improvement before Sunday.

It would be ashame for players to be risked for what is essentially a trial game.

Most clubs would think it is a good call.

There is a long season ahead lads.

lol, sorry Captain, but most clubs, coaches and more particularly, the players would call it a soft option to cancel so early, once again. But, as I stated earlier, agreeing to use such a poorly drained ground for Bundy is just a "poor" decision...

I agree with you captain, i have been to both lidcombe and aubrey keech fields and both are not in any state of playing especially aubrey keech. I also agree with what your saying slickrabbit, I dont understand why they are using this field for bundy. But then again, if they use kingsgrove home ground for footy, then anything is playable in bundy. Its ridiculous how the NSWRL dont promote the bundy like they used to and just let any club in the competition. Most of the new clubs that join just make numbers. We all know every year is going to be the same teams in the top 5, thats your wentys, mounties, cabras, entrance and windsors. I was looking forward to watching some footy this weekend. Hopefully it doesnt rain next week. Fells like years since ive seen a game.
