Can anyone tell me how strong Guildford are in the Cup and Shield? And how they'll turn out on the weekend?
I work with a couple of guys who are trialling with them and they said they are small in the forwards and have a lot of young guys.I think they have David Sifisa ex souths under 20s but Im not sure who else.

I was watching Guildford vs blacktown workers two weeks ago down at mcCredie park , I noticed that for Guildford RMC they have a few smart forwards but need to work on their halves . I'm pretty sure Gus would signed new halves for his RMC team . Guildford Sydney shield have a decent forward pack very strong and very quick. We noticed a new hooker and front row for Guildford who played in the Parramatta C-Grade comp last year. Guildford have a lot of working to do in both teams to avoid the wooden spoon.

Who pulled the pin on that game Blacktown or St Johns?

It looks like it is St Johns. 1st game at Lidcombe tomorrow has been cancelled again - St Johns vs Burwood North Ryde (SS)

Maybe another Manly team should defect and take up the vacancy.

Wests beat Burwood North Ryde in the early game at Lidcombe today. Burwood have picked up a couple of useful forwards - Mark Fakahua has come from Mounties to join his brother, Sione in the BNRU pack. Latu Fifita has also come from Wests after a preseason with Norths.

Auburn beat Wenty 38-36 in the late game. Wenty had most of their stars including new boys Francis Tuigmala and Karl Filiga. The Auburn goalkicker, one og 2 recruits from Randwick RU, found himself in the unusual situation of kicking for goal after the hooter at the end of each of the first 3 quarters.

Damien Mostyn went off injured after the first quarter.

Any scores from Aubrey Keeach?

Did any nyc/nsw cup players play for Wests? How were BNRU in the halves? My mate who played for them last year always said they struggled there. Auburn sounds like a contender...

There were no programs so have to call the players you know.

No Tigers in Wests side, not even all the signed players.

The Burwood halves were OK.

Auburn may have the same problem as St Johns - good starting lineup but no depth while Wenty have plenty of depth.

BNRU were talking about a deal with the bears. Needed NS and Asquith approval. Not sure what happened.

One of last years halves may be unable to play for 10 to 15 years

In the first Sydney Shield game today Hills beat Belrose 36-10. Hills are paying match payments this year and have put together a better squad. Belrose had a few of their stalwarts but if that was the full squad they have lost many players over the last few years.

In the second SS game Mounties beat Cabra 58-6 after leading 26-6 at 3/4 time. The Cabra team was nothing like that listed last week with Sene Tala, John Markham and Billy Carroll among other regulars. The Mounties team included those listed plus Ben Ellis and Eddie El Zbediah.

In the first game Bundy game Windsor were too good for The Entrance winning 38-22 after a scoreline 0f 26-6 at 3/4 time. Dan Randall is playing for Entrance.

The main game was like an additional NSW Cup game as Cabra included 12 Newtown players and Mounties contributed only 2 contracted players to the NSW Cup yesterday. It was close all the way and then Mounties pulled 10 points clear but Cabra scored twice in the last 5 minutes to grab a 22-22 draw.

Yesterday, Asquith beat Guildford 32-18 in Bundy while in Sydney Shield Wenty beat Auburn 40-22 and Guildford ran up 50 points against Asquith.

I have no scores for Kingsgrove vs Blacktown.

The NSWRL media still have Entrance as winners last year even though Windsor beat Auburn in the final.

Rex Johnson broke his leg at Milner last year and it happened to another BNRU player at Lidcombe on saturday.

Wenty beat the Entrance in the Grand Final of Bundaberg Cup but the NSWRL reference is to OAMPS Cup.

Windsor won both games, the second against Mounties.
Auburn won both games by large margins

Windsor beat Auburn in the final.

Wenty won both games but the game against Cabra was close so they only got 3rd spot. Entrance beat Blacktown in first game by large margin and in the second game Cabra led the Entrance 30-0 after 30 minutes but then Yatesy gave the second tier blokes a go and Entrance got close enough to get the 4th spot.

In the playoff for 3rd Wenty beat Entrance 24-6.

There are brief reports on the Auburn v Wenty, Wests v BNRU and all the sunday games on this thread.

There are also detailed reports on the 2012 Oamps final and 3rd place playoffs in the 2012 thread.
