I think you may be right... simplicity and subtlety... the fact most of us hadn't noticed the v style matching the logo i think is the brilliance of it...

Interesting, just came across the Leicester Storm in the UK who have a relationship with Melbourne, hence the name.

It almost seems that Melbourne have copied Leicester's jersey design for 2013.

yes?of course. I would never replace one of the greatest jerseys ever designed. But with a training jersey you can be free to be creative without compromising tradition while at the same time create something people would actually buy.
