Here is the new Wests Magpies jerseys for the up coming Ron Massey Shield season. It's the new name for Metro/Jim Beam/Bundy Red Cups.

Not a Maggies fan but I'll be getting one of the white ones, they look fantastic.

Awesome. What a league jersey should be.

On the higher numbers: does anyone else miss the old system of 1-13 for agrade, 14-17 for a grade bench, 18-30 for res grade?

just dawned on me recently in our local leagues when playing trials with big squads that the a grade, res grade, etc jerseys now all number 1-17/19... makes it hard with 2 13's on the park at once... got me thinking about the old numbering across the club rather than across the team...

Maybe i'm just being nostalgic for the sake of it... would anyone want to see something similar return? perhaps 1-20 for a-grade, 21-40 for u20s, 41-60 for NSW Cup?

"Lovely pass out wide by the little number 29"

I dont remember this, but Sounds like it was/ would be the single worst idea ever. Hope this never happens again.

It's an awesome idea. Why wouldn't you want your fresh reserves for first grade wearing jerseys 52,53,54 and 55? Maybe they can do it for heritage round.

To be fair, the catalogue mock-ups aren't always identical, the OAK might still be integrated.

Not sure what the Magpies design is, but the Balmain heritage looks simple this year

That Tigers jersey is awesome.

Tigers and Dragons have nailed their heritage jersey's this year.

Going off the Panther's template, it looks like they have also (although I'd still like to see it in the flesh before judging).

The Dragon's heritage jersey laid out (as we've seen), but also on a mannequin.

Does anyone else think the logos (all three of them, especially the one between the "V") look massive??

It's actually a little off-putting, I don't know if I'll fork out approx. $150 for it now.

They mustn't have wanted the badges on the V. Those are not only higher than the badges on the regular and alternate strip, they are also closer together.

Nah im not a fan...

Also the spacing and height of logos should not very across teams, bulldogs for example is almost on the collar...

Agreed.

Anyways look, I don't wanna come across as a "nark". Saints have done two great things with this jersey 1.) The sponsor is below the "V" (something I've been vocal about in these threads and what I love most about GAZF's work) 2.) They actually went out of their way to make the collar white.

But I dunno, the logo's and colour of the red bugs me

Perhaps I need to get of the drugs...

The one on the manequin looks like a tiny jersey... perhaps that is why it looks more cluttered... the hip tag almost comes around to the centre of the jersey where as the one laid flat it would barely make it 1/4 of the way across... The gaps between the reebok and old school emblem are also much larger in the top image... Be interested to see these in a few sizes to see if it is only the small ones that look crap....

also wondering if the red looks so bright due to exposure settings on the camera rather than it actually beingthe wrong shade...

The Broncos U20s side not only have last years home jersey design, they also have a new away jersey colour scheme not used by first grade. I saw an image in Big League but couldn't find one online so here is a mock-up:

Why didn't they have the U20s away colour combo for the Broncos away in 2003 onwards instead of white and navy. Would have been more appropriate...

Agreed with earlier post - looks like Manly that away strip. Needs gold trim somewhere

Rubbish! Unless they are playing Manly in it there is no issue.

A nice, neat variation on the current design that differentiates the u20s from the NRL side... AND still has two of our three traditional colours: white and maroon.

On the other hand, the Bulldogs u20s should NEVER have been allowed to wear this:

Looks too like Parramatta that strip.
