Does anyone know where ESL jumpers, salford in particular can be purchased in Oz/Syd...someone I know is looking for one, I think theyre not too keen on buying online

Not too mention, even if you did find one in stores, youd be paying half the price online, with postage included..

and on the Dragons heritage,
does anyone remember one of the first time heritage's were used and Souths ditched sponsors altogether, had a modified rabbit logo, and i think it was even cotton?

unless the bank didnt allow it, surely if they wanted to go sponsor-less they could?

IIRC I think you're talking about 2008 when we played the Tigers at the SCG. The reason we were sponsorless was purely coincidental because we hadn't actually signed up our away sponsor (Delonghi) yet. We did that later on in 2008.

Suddenly I understand why Souths get away with having regular and alternate jerseys that are almost identical.

All the other teams are required to have two visually contrasting jerseys but play most games in their regular "home" strip and only a few in their alternate "away" strip. Souths can't do that because they have sold separate regular and alternate sponsorships and will have made exposure guarantees to both sponsors. So without the almost identical regular and alternate jerseys, they would only get to wear their traditional red and myrtle stripes half of the time. They then add the third jersey (the white "clash" strip) to serve the actual purpose of an alternate jersey and the NRL lets them get away with it all because it is done for sponsorship money and the NRL lets clubs get away with anything if it involves making a quick buck.

They could just have 2 sets of heritage or home jerseys with a sponsor on each... Would given them the same exposure and look better.

I don't think I've ever seen a fan of any club wearing a Women In League jersey anyway.

I have seen a couple of Dragons fans wearing them on TV - male fans I mean. I have seen quite a few pink panther jerseys in the crowd on TV - but I would hazard a guess they were being worn by women. When I say I'm not sure about the gender of the wearer, it's distance from the camera, rather than a difficulty of working out if the adams apple was there underneath all the facial hair that had me confused.

There are couple I have seen wearing them at the Roosters. But yes, in the main the wearers of the pink attire do tend to be ladies

Souths can still get away with dual sponsors if they went 50:50 with the hoops and the white alt, its not as if their jersey is sacred these days given their propensity to f**k it up.

I went to the Wests Tigers/Wenty NSW Cup game on Saturday and I was shocked to see Wenty run out in Parra jersey, shorts and socks. Now I know there is a feeder team deal between the two sides but I thought that this was just taking things too far, especially as there wouldn't have been a clash with the Balmain jersery that the WT's were wearing.
Apparently it's Wenty's away jersey this year and will be worn at ALL away games, while at home they'll wear their traditional black and white. The jersey has a Wenty badge on the left and a smaller Parra badge in the middle with the comp badge on the right.

Personally I think it's a shocking effort by Wenty, lazy and devalues their traditional jersey. But then again I know I'm just being pedantic, but hey, this is the home of Pedantic jersey spotting.
