it is psychosomatic. Scientific studies conducted as long ago as 1978 have proven that it is not true. Not that you need studies to tell you that. Just look at civilisations that have lived in the deserts of the middle-east and north africa for thousands of years... They mostly wear black.

Black objects absorb nearly the entire visible spectrum, meaning that they absorb more energy. Conservation of energy states that the light energy absorbed will convert into another form of energy. Since I don't hear black objects humming when I shine a torch on them, this energy is converted to heat.

Black = more energy absorbed = hotter

They also wear LOOSE black clothing, allowing cooling convection currents to flow between the garment and skin. This is different to the skin tight jerseys that players wear. Although they are also designed to encourage cooling in the same manner, an energy balance would have a player in a black jersey hotter since it is absorbing more energy.

If white was cooler wouldn't Natural selection have made all African people white , or is Ernie els the most evolved man in Africa
facepalm. Natural selection made africans black to make their skin less prone to sun damage. Skin and clothes aren't the same thing. Skin is meant to protect from sun damage, clothes all protect you from sun damage, but depending on colour you have different levels of protection from sun heat.

Playing an outdoor sport in Australia in black isn't the smartest idea.

Wrong again. White is far more traditional in those areas precisely because it is cooler.

Tell that to the Bedouin, who spend their entire lives wandering in the sun.

Since I don't hear black objects humming when I shine a torch on them, this energy is converted to heat.

That is what people used to think until it was discovered that white clothing reflects the wearers own body heat back into them, while black absorbs it so that it can be dissipated into the surrounding air.

Interesting point, never really considered the magnitude of body heat compared to the sun. If the material heats up above body temp the heat will transfer both into the environment and into the body albeit at different rates. I guess the most ideal uniform for hot weather would be a white jersey with black inner lining.

I can see how that wording could confuse people. The line-

"The function of the prostate is to secrete a slightly alkaline fluid, milky or white in appearance,[5] that usually constitutes 50?75% of the volume of the semen along with spermatozoa and seminal vesicle fluid."

could be worded better as-

"The function of the prostate is to secrete a slightly alkaline fluid, milky or white in appearance, that usually constitutes 50?75% of the volume of the semen, with the remainder being spermatozoa and seminal vesicle fluid."

The sperm come from the testes and fluids are added by the seminal vesicles and prostate on the way, but the sperm never enter the prostate.

Wait, wait, wait....
Sperm is actually called spermatozoa?

So I noticed the titans in the Holden cup didn't have any nrl/u20s premiership logo on their jerseys...
Surely the club would be fined for that

Found the new Broncs Indigenous jersey on eBay.

Not usually a fan of these jerseys as they usually look messy and over complicated but I actually like this one.
