2013 Membership Packages

Cue Mark sounding like a broken record.

When I was discussing membership with Paul Osbourne in late 2010 I bought up my AFL club as an example of what should be done.

My club actively markets its 12 month Payment Options and the automatic renewal that will come with it (2 options, payment plan or lump sum at renewal). Good to see our club moving in this direction.

Osbourne said to me once that the club would like to see memberships be like "Paying your Rates" you don't give it a second though and it is part of the budget each year.

Signed Jumpsuit up for a Wanderers membership at the sold out derby game.
Membership pack arrived today. Cap is top notch quality with his membership No. embroidered onto the back. Usual array of trinklets, plus the added bonus of free public transport to all games. He had that anyway - dads cab. All for 50 bucks.
Turnaround - 11 days.
I'm not used to such great membership service.

I signed up for the Thunder in Early August, when renewal notices came out. Could log onto the site and see I had renewed.
Got an email last Friday that my membership card and kit had been sent. Arrived Monday. Lanyard holder, Rubber keying, fixture card fridge magnet and membership car sticker in a sealed "Thunder" package, card attached to the letter welcoming me back, all for $20. Wasn't fantastic due to the time I spent waiting, but still not bad.

Last year, November 1 received a notice to renew for Hawthorn, I did so, and less than a week later got all my membership stuff except my membership card sent via courier. Got the card sent out in January in the mail.

ANZ Stadium when I initially signed up, I sent in the form and Payment, I got a phone call a few hours later confirming my request and welcoming me to the club.

Some clubs just do it better than others, and indeed we need to improve

The only reason H jnr knows Adelaide United exist is because there is a really cool geocache out the front.

He does have a season ticket to the 36ers but I don't recall him getting anything special with it, maybe membership with them isn't connected to their STs.

I'm looking forward to seeing if a regional Eels membership has much in it for those not in NSW or Qld. If not it'll be back the non-ticketed memberships for us.

From http://www.parraeels.com.au/membership-packages#region

The RegionEels membership entitles you to a ticketed membership in the Northern and Southern Terraces at Parramatta Stadium and ANZ Stadium GA areas for four (4) home games of your choice throughout the season.
