Surely the forward line is the biggest blight. Bergkamp as good as he was isn't even close to being the second best striker in the history of the PL. Shearer, Drogba, Sheringham, Cole, Hasselbaink, Cole, Rooney, Wright, Dublin all scored more goals.

Individually Gerrard is a better player than the others and deserves to be there. I would more argue Ronaldo is less deserving, he is the best player of the lot but only played 5 or so seasons in the PL and hadn't even reached his peak before he left. The others played the best part of the careers in the PL and over longer periods.

Only change I would personally make would be Shearer for Bergkamp, as sublime as he was I would take Shearer over him any day of the week, he was just an out and out goal scorer. Also Shmicheal has always been a little overrated for mine but I won't begrudge him being in there.

Liverpool seem to be playing pretty well this morning

Perhaps Brenda has finally figured out Gerrard's best position...

A performance like that has been coming for a while now, the last 4-5 weeks our play has been a lot better but things just haven't quite been 'clicking'.

The new formation has been the major catalyst for mine, it suits our style of play a lot better. Coutinho, Lallana, Markovic look revitalized and we are actually exciting to watch again.

Would have loved to have seen Balo net one at the end there just to give him a real boost, went okay for his little cameo at the end.

Thank f**king Christ for that. Finally, a very decent performance since the Spurs game. Everything seemed to click more and more as the game went on. Despite the shoddy defending for Sigurdsson's goal, I think the defence was pretty good.

I was pleased with what Mario contributed in his cameo, I've always had faith that he can in fact turn out to be great for Liverpool. Anyone who thinks that Lambert should stay over Balotelli is an idiot. It was a nice one-two with Markovic and the shot attempt was actually better than it initially looked.

I have some hope we can jag 4th if Sturridge comes back and plays the rest of the year. How dumb am I? Haha

We will get a roll on but I can't see how any of the top 4 will drop mate, that's our problem.

Next 4 games are all winnable, really we shouldn't be accepting anything less than 10 points from those. Will be interesting to see where we sit after those.

The league has to be the sole priority for January - won't beat Chelsea over 2 legs. Hopefully the second stringers can get us past the 5th round in the Cup (no offence to Wimbledon ;-) ).

If Arsenal and Southampton draw we will be just 3 points off 4th amazingly. I really don't see Soton and WHU (sorry Mong) holding their nerve to get the 4th spot so it's between us and the 2 north London clubs.

No love for either but how many minutes have each of them played in the premier league games and how many goals for each?
What's the wages and transfer fees too?
Facts might paint a sad picture for both.
Neither have contributed much with assists that I can remember.
Only thing great that I can say about Balotelli is it'd be great to get our money back.

Another f**king insipid away draw, another f**king injury. f**king sick of our constant back passing too. It's great for giving you a nice looking possession stat, not so great for creating goal scoring opportunities.

Well deserved from Spurs. Kane's a decent player if Ferguson was still in charge he'd probably end up at United.
