Apart from Lennon and Townsend (who signed on at age 12) he is the first truly decent academy graduate we've had for ages.

He generally plays in behind our striker (Soldado) but this morning he played as lone striker which he has never done in the PL to my knowledge.

Bentelab is coming along well to but we've only had him for a few years.

You'll do well to hold onto him. He made our left side defence look average.

Chadli had a good game as well, was impressed with him.

He did but slightly out of character for him, especially against you guys.

Hurricane is a big Tottenham fan and Spurs junior so I don't see him going anywhere soon, he's only had one half of a decent season. He's still only a kid.

Edit: Hazard still a gun though, would love a Hazard type player at Spurs

Seemed like one of those days for us today, where everything goes right for the opposition and not enough goes right for us. That would unfairly cheapen Spurs' performance though

Top effort

Yeah, Eden is almost unplayable at the moment, he's improved on his decision making compared to last year and its evident, his shooting let's him down at times but once that clicks..

I find it amazing that Spurs at one stage were 4-1 up. And who the hell is this Kane guy!? He's actually not bad...

More shocking news to wake up to is Gerrard announcing his departure on Friday

The comparisons to Rooney might be a tad premature, but the kid can certainly play a bit

Hardly a shock

Father time has kicked him square in the nuts

might be ?

definitely is, not even Spurs fans saw this coming

he's played half a season in the ones and has only been a starting player in the last month, he generally comes off the bench which makes his goal tally pretty impressive when you consider his game time

Sorry, but it definitely is a shock. Going by what I read, I think most reds fans just expected this contract situation to be sorted over time, and see him fight another day for Liverpool until he retires.

Extending Lambert was the stupidest decision of the season.

Well that's Randy Lerner for you as he never sacks his managers and tbf to lambert, he has never been given any money to spend and nor would any manager who was to come in. We're still recovering from O'Neill's departure 5 years ago.

Delighted to see us play poorly and still defeat Newcastle. Even more delighted to see Chump City slip up against Everton. The Toffee's should have got all 3 points though, as Fernandinho was offside for his goal and Kompany hand-balled in the box before it happened, but whatever.

LVG keeping pace with Moyes' points tally last season. Maybe moysey hasn't so bad after all.

LVG needed 150 million pounds to keep up.

I said LVG was nothing special before the start of the season and I was laughed at. He has done nothing in a decade.

LVG isn't finished yet.

Star power up front, nothing at the back. Will only get worse when De Gea inevitably leaves.

I may end up being wrong but I'm willing to bet DDG goes no where for a long time and will sign a new contract by the end of August this year.
