Gee's there's a name I haven't heard in a long time. It makes you wonder, with the literally hundreds of Tennis players at professional level, how many fall off the cards and out of the ranks without you even knowing about it. I mean I had no idea that Danira Safina retired when she did, same with her brother Safin and others such as Davenport and Capriati!

Whatever happened to the one that looks like a bloke?
I think her name is meresmo or something like that ...

19 year old Sydney-Sider Jordan Thompson is pushing Richard Gasquet to the limit - Gasquet won the first set 7-5 and is down 1-2 in the 2nd. Hopefully this fella will be a wild-card entrant next week in Melbourne!

Gasquet prevails but it was 7-6 in the 3rd. Thompson has a huge career in front of him if he concentrates on his career. He has not lost any fans after todays efforts.

I was just taking the piss dude lol - ie in regardings to his ranking, he's a relatively unknown person.

He's on the verge of losing - deadset had a strangle-hold on the game too at 2 sets up.
