Personally, i think this is the best theyve ever come up with.

NSW 1998 jersey was the best in my opinion.
No sponsor (bar a logo on the sleeves), the collar was dark blue, as was the end of the sleeves, and the numbers on the back were white. And the main blue was an actual sky blue, not whatever-the-hell-2014's-is.

I have to say, I kinda miss the numbers on the sleeves too.

This photo doesn't do it justice.

My Roosters retro shirt has three quarter sleeves
Well, they were supposed to be 3/4 but on me they were 19/20ths - yep they finished right before where your watch goes

So I shortened mine to make them three quarters

The cuff, the blue part of the sleeve have gone. The sleeve now ends half way through the red stripe. I actually prefer the look to be honest

Used to hate them when I played.
Would roll them up and wrap electrical tape around them

I was the opposite. I'd wear a bench jersey (17) no matter where I played because it was the only 3/4 sleeve in the kit bag. No grazed elbows, warm enough during winter, and nice and gentle when you got grubby on opponents. The last team I played for only had short sleeves, and was surprised how many people wore long sleeve compression shirts as an alternative.

Haha yep everyone rolled up and and black taped em.
Especially late 90's when the "oversize huuuuuuge" jersey trend was in (love to know why this was..??)

I have teammates who -despite the sleeves all being short these days- STILL roll their sleeves up a bit and tape them down.

I think it's more a 'look at my guns' thing than a practicality thing though..!
