The Broncos went from Audi to Hyundai this year.

My shopping expedition today revealed 3 things to me:

1) Newcastle have replaced one of the best looking away jerseys in the competition with a rehashed 2003 away jersey (resembling the old Super League designs). At first I thought it might just be a heritage jersey, but on the tag it said it is the away jersey.

2) NSW 2014 jersey has had no improvement and the blue keeps getting worse

3) Penrith will have gold in their training gear

I was kind of hoping the Panthers would stream line their jerseys into one image/colour scheme to try to build and image. Instead they have actually added more colours to their jerseys.

I was quite happy to hear they were incorporating gold into their colours (its unique, distinctive and a very good look), but only putting it on the training shirts is just confusing and such and blatant and poorly executed cash grab. I don't hold it against people making cash grabs, they usually come up with something pretty good (ie. the Warriors gear) but this is just badly done

Training gear colours I'm not too worried about. So long as those colours don't see a proper season game I'm cool with it. To use St George as an example, you would think we are Norths by the amount of black in our training gear. But it is for training, not playing.

Yeah its definitely not the best jersey the knights have ever produced. Having said that i personally like it just because i have associated it in my head with that 2004 knights v broncos game, where Kidley won it with a field goal. That was a great moment and i think of that every time i see this jersey.

On a side note, i was kind of hoping the knights might come out with a Captain America style alternate...

...Obviously not an exact copy, but, with a few changes, the elements of this would make an amazing jersey.

Imagine the Knights red and blue stripes to the mid point on the chest (Id personally prefer them going from the shoulder down) and then grey space lower down with the sponsors logo.

Considering the new Captain America movie comes out in April, it would be sweet to see us wear an alternative. We never seem to do it, but it would be a nice to see for once. As long as we don't whore ourselves out and it becomes a regular thing.
