not hard to fix but I think they are too cartoon like. They should use the same font that the words NRL are in on the logo for some uniformity.

I get the feeling that the inner orange line is a clear overlay, showing the actual jersey colour. That way the NRL can reduce the amount of numbers required. Producing numbers in over 16 different colourways for merchandising is an expensive undertaking.

A simpler number with one or zero outlines would have been a simpler solution.

To be fair, we had the pink before the strawberry milk company came on board. They may have had something to do with it's over-use last year though, and the decision to adopt it as the alternative strip for '14.
I can live with it. They can play in Tutus as long as they start winning games.

Yeah 2nd one is pink not red, but a good point in regard to the white strip, lots of people said - why the white when it came out....there is your answer, pink and red very close, a good way to differentiate between to 2.

Well they are going to have to figure something out quickly if they really are determined to only use white; almost every team has a white away Jersey.

You're right that is would be difficult to specialise colours for every team, but that's not what I'm suggesting. Black and white contrast completely but they won't clash with anything.

I didn't say just white. The Broncos had a maroon set in the nines. I'm saying that they'll probably limit the colourways to between 5 and 10 (eg. black, white, blue, navy, red, maroon, green, gold).

Lol imagine Cowboys going to Toyota and saying no thanks we dont want your millions as Red clashes with blue and yellow

Imagine the Cowboys having the balls to say to Toyota we are going to need your logo to be in navy blue which is what should be happening. Why does Kaspersky need to be in green on the Manly away strip when it would look perfect in maroon. Either the sponsors are having too much say in the jerseys or the clubs don't really care about their own brand/product (i.e their jersey).

The NRL in general has this same problem...everyone wants daytime grand finals back. This recent television deal was an ideal time for the NRL to negotiate on their terms instead of Channel 9's terms, yet they seem to have stuffed it up again.

Hats off to the AFL who won't budge on such issues. They back their own product.

1. Cowboys only have red Toyota on the away strip. The others are all plain white Toyota logos on navy.

2. These brands are HANDING OVER MONEY - I can't believe people don't think they might want input into how their brand is displayed. Besides - most corporations these days have strict brand guidelines about how their logo can be displayed.

Its amazing how good the simple block colour with a V on it looks, or just simple stripes.

So much bullsh!t going on in the other jersey designs.

Edit: I just realised that the dragons wear the simple V - but thats not why I prefer the designs in the above photo.

EPL has five (white, black, red, gold, navy) so it's not exactly an amazingly exhaustive process

You're kind of proving my point. Even the EPL, which has more teams and considerably higher merch sales, only has numbers in 5 colours. I prefer the black inner keyline on the white EPL numbers btw.
