Rangi is still owed money by his former player agent and someine needs to prop up that money and I can tell u neither the club or old manager are willing to pay it.
I thought Rangi owed his former agent a six figure sum that has to be paid before being allowed back. I will admit my source is some journo scum, can't remember where i read it.

I'm hoping that we retain both Allgood and Morgan. Our depth at prop would be pretty shallow if Allgood left. For the role that he needs to play, he doesn't need to be a superstar.

Nope

Old player manager owes him $40,000 and no one is coming to the party on paying that up.

As far as I'm aware, both will be staying at Parra

You may well be right, but after a quick search i keep finding that Chris Orr says Rangi owes him money.

I actually spoke to Rangi's cousin 2 weeks ago and this was confirmed to me by a work collegue to Chris Orr at the Penrith game 2 weeks ago.

don't watch this if you want to believe he is good ... there is nothing of him in it other than, yes falling over the line for a try AND doing a terrible bit of goal line defense to let in the opposition's only try

And that's my concern.

The 4 Burgess Brothers, Adrian Morley, Jamie Peacock and Stuart Fielden along with James Graham are miles in front of this bloke.

He will be a work in progress and let's hope he comes good.

the good news is he seemed very dirty on himself for letting in the try ... at least he cared

That was like watching Adelaide Rams games at Hindmarsh Stadium. Short in-goal and the little curve on the corners for the soccer games.

Mossop is exactly the sort of player we should be going for - young enough to improve and with a low enough profile that his price isn't too high.

Someone like T-Rex would have a terrible signing for our club, while Papalii would have been absolutely perfect. Mossop is in the latter category.

my concern with mossop is his tenure here seems to be capped .... and my concern is by the time he learns, it'll be time to go bye bye ...... most pommies take the best part of a season to really get their feet .... we might only get 1 good season from him, then he'll likely be off home ... will it be worth it in the end????

Well if you're capable of wondering that then surely so is the coaching staff. I dare say they know what they want to achieve and that they have a plan.

I'm very confident that Mossop will be here as long as he and the Eels are happy with the deal. Any arrangement with Wigan could only last as long as his current contract with them. And because we've paid a fee their rights are completely waived for as long as the transfer fee has bought our rights to Mossop. That's how transfer fees on player loans work.

yes i understand things can change in the future ..... its pretty clear wigan have decided not to resist guys that want to leave and will try and make wads of cash out of it ..... it would appear he is contractually obliged to either return to wigan by 2017 or someone will have to front up another big wad of cash - and who knows whether that "fee" will be cap money or not at some point down the track in the make up the cap rules as you go along nrl world

i am in no way having a go at our club our staff or anyone over the signing - and yes i understand he can still be of value - just saying it may be a shame that he might leave just when he comes good

No different to any player on a two year (or longer) contract.

As for Wigan, how could they have any control over the player out to 2017 unless he has already signed with them for that long?

I understand they might have first rights over him on a return to England, which may have been part of the deal to release him to Parra, but why would he give them control over his life for the next four years if there's nothing in it for him?
