they do get certain picks as do Fox
100% correct. Reds are booked to host Cheetahs on Friday night, then Roar have A-League booked Sunday.
I dare say it'll be a Round 2 game if Buzz isn't completely full of it.
http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/nrl/ben-barba-versus-canterbury-bulldogs-must-move-to-sydney/story-fni3fbgz-1226749959126The Daily Telegraph revealed on Wednesday that the NRL is ready to announce a round one game between Barba’s Broncos and the Bulldogs at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on Friday, March 7.
But in a blow for rugby league, The Daily Telegraph can reveal the Queensland Reds have already booked Suncorp Stadium on that night for a Super Rugby match against South Africa’s Cheetahs.
Why the f**k have they gone away from the Broncos v Cowboys Rd1 game?
It was becoming a real tradition and got the Broncos best home crowd of the year.
It's like someone in the NRL goes, "something's successful, lets bury it"
How many Raiders FTA games are we expecting? 1? 0? My money's on 0.
Ricky is there now, you'll get 4 or 5 in the first 20.
In regards to the Cowboys / Broncos not being rd 1, I don't see a problem with something different. Same goes for Roosters / Souths - a change would be nice.
*facepalm. a game featuring a NZ club is alot more logical don't you think.
f**k it, why not have Melbourne v Raiders in Sydney as the opener!
Is Brisbane vs NQ high drawing, high rating because it is played in Round 1 or because it is Brisbane vs NQ? If it is the latter, having it later in the season would be just as affective, wouldn't it?So you reckon, for the sake of diversity lets change a high drawing high rating game matchup to one that will have less appeal.

Broncos should get less Friday games
The excuse for Ch 9 having more Broncos games in Friday night was to accommodate for Queensland viewers.
But there are two other QLD teams. Surely Titans and Cowboys would rate better on a Friday night.
