Curry looked tired today. They HAVE to give him a rest at some point before the playoffs. Those Spurs get plenty of rest and will be ready.

So they have to go 6-1 from the remaining games to own the record.

Portland, Minny, San Antonio, Memphis at home

San Antonio, Memphis away

Would be sweet if they won their next 4 to at least equal the record, then win in SA to snap their home streak and beat the '96 Bulls...

If they can do that, I'd expect alot of players rested in their final game against Memphis...

You can add the Wolves to that winning percentage at Oracle now, Overtime win against the Warriors who have to go 4-0 to beat the Bulls record now

Sam Hinkie resigned.

Not surprised, in professional sports no one has the patience to continually tank year after year hoping to win the lottery. Look at the turnover of coaches and GM's in general - no way Philly are going to just sit there and wait.... finally they can get back to winning again.

What a disaster that experiment was, although they have built up a considerable war chest of assets and cap space, so next man in line will have lots to play with....

I'm against what the Sixers have been doing more from a moral standpoint than any sort of practical one, but in Hinkie's defence it is a system that rewards what they have been doing so until there is less of an incentive for bad teams to purposefully be even worse, teams will keep doing it. Sixers have just taken it to the extreme level.

The timing of the resignation is weird though. If there are to be some considerable benefits from the process you'd think they would start to bear fruit from next season onwards, especially if Embiid can get on the court. I don't know why you'd suffer through the terrible years and then resign just when there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Seems strange to me as well, only guess I can come up with is that they are preparing for a fresh front office and maybe coach to bring in a change of culture and start delivering results from this tankathon.

71-9

One of the biggest ever regular season games coming up. GSW vs SAS at the place where SA are 39-0 on the season...

GS are at home for the last game. What a fitting way to end the regular season.

The real test will be whether they have enough in the tank to last post season. They are human after all and fatigue (both mental and physical) will set in at some point, especially if pushed to multiple 7 game series with OKC/SAS/Clippers and Cavs.

My prediction is they've exhausted themselves somewhat going for this record and it's going to catch up with them at some point in these playoffs. Not saying they will outright lose but I can definitely see them being in some bother at some point, maybe even 3-2 down to someone like OKC and having to dig their way out of it.

Meanwhile, Kobe plays his last game ever at 2:30pm on Thursday.. same time as GS go for history...

I'll be flicking between both games all afternoon.

Kobe jacking up more 3's doesn't really appeal to me. Even if its his last game. Replays on Youtube (when he was in his prime) is there for a reason.

GS making history all the way...
