You know it's a flawed system when Zaza Pachulia falls just short of starting forward/centre at the All-Star game. Leading the likes of Griffin, Green, Dirk, Cousins, Davis, LMA etc. Tallying 4th amongst all forwards in the west... He's having a pretty solid season but come on... Reminds me of the year Jamal Magloire made it...

Two big losses to arguably the two biggest threats to the Spurs in a week.
Not saying they would have been different results but it shows what a loss he still is when he doesn't play. A bit worrying!

(Sorry I meant Tim Duncan...I edited it and left out his name lol)

The Cavs looks alright. They certainly played well in their last two showings against SAS and Detroit. Perhaps its a blessing in disguise that Blatt was removed. I hate to say it, but if the chemistry just isn't there with the coach and team, then its better they recognize it now and replace him with a coach the team or should I say Lebron - accepts.

Tyron doesn't look or project himself as one of the most charismatic coaches I have ever come across, but if hes technically competent, has the locker room, gets the results, then good on him.

As for SAS, they will struggle against any younger more athletic team. If they have to play OKC and GS to get to the finals, then I thinks its an absolute give me for the CAVS if they met in the finals. They will literally be licking their lips if they had to play SAS in the finals.

When Love contributes like he did last night the Cavs could be a force. Plus Kyrie is only now getting back to 100% health/match fitness. Still a lot to work on (defence) but I liked the way they pushed the tempo offensively yesterday.

I believe they will get past OKC. I reckon they just play a better brand of basketball

Yeah Russ and to a lesser extent Durant just take to many bad shots, especially in crunch time. I understand Durant given he is a great shooter and is so tall but he settles for long threes to often and Russ should never be taking contested midrange J's 5 seconds into the shotclock, it is just a really bad shot. When the game is tight in crunch time they both just take turns going iso as well.

Every year i'm reminded of how awful the all-star game is. Turned it off after the 8th uncontested layup/dunk in the first 2 minutes..Glorified training drill...

Yeah it's so stupid, I just looked at the final score and rolled my eyes.

The dunk contest on the other hand...

That dunk contest was the best in many many years. I underestimated Gordon...I recon he was robbed...

dunk contest by far the best. the 3 point was also good - everyone was competing.

all star game this morning - meh... just glad they all didnt try to assist kobe and make it a kobe night... getting a little tired of all his farewells.....

Was Paul George denied the basketball or something to stop him from breaking the points record?

It was insane. I actually think the one with him cupping the ball off the mascot and then rotating while giving the tribute to the mailman was amazing also, I don't know if people quite understand the difficulty level on that one to nail it first time. It was much better than LaVine's third dunk anyway which was basically an imitation of that but worse.

I think it's the kind of situation where people will look back in 5-10 years time and wonder how on earth those dunks didn't win.
