Saw in the paper that they reduced the price of (some??) tickets for the olmpic stadium match, down £10 to something like £35. Disappointingly, being advertised in quite a lot in relation to the rugby union world cup from what i saw.

Would have to be one of the biggest post war test match series crowds outside a World Cup?

Crowds have been good with two sell outs and this one. Last series in 1998 crowds were 18,500, 27,500 and 13,000. 2007 all golds were 16,500, 20,000 & 21,000

Origin tickets have been released for Sydney games.

Prices are bad again. $35 for bronze, obviously they are rank level 6 seats.

Exactly right.

This ridiculous "prices are too high" might apply to regular premiership games but when you're talking about premium events, $35 is a f**king steal, regardless of the seats.

Evidence from Origin one this year - 40,000 seats reduced from up to $240 to $50. The year after they won.

Hmmmmmmm.......................

And what premium events haven't been worth what people pay for them lately in the rugby league world?

All 3 Origin games and the GF last year were either capacity or within 10% of capacity.

Origin one only got there due to a mass price reduction and SES give-aways. Come on Tim. Seriously mate. Simple, it was overpriced and next years reduction probably will not avoid another price cut. Lets wait to see how sales are come May 2016 before continuing this debate.

I bet they wish it was only 2000.

"THOUSANDS of emergency service personnel who worked during last week’s deadly storms are to receive free tickets to this year’s first State of Origin match.

At least 2000 tickets to State of Origin I at Sydney’s ANZ Stadium on May 27 will be given to SES volunteers, police, fire and rescue, Rural Fire Service and ambulance personnel as a ‘thankyou’ for their incredible work in extremely hazardous conditions."

Prices were not dropped at Suncorp for origin three this year, additional standing tickets were released. However, prices were dropped for Origin 1 in 2014 to $140 (Suncorp), not $50 like in 2015 (ANZ).
