Some facts for you - Cronulla had 94mm of rain in the 24hours from Monday the 20th 9am to 9am Tuesday the 21st. Sydney CBD had 118 over the full 24hours.

Brisbane CBD has had 118.6 (probably another 5mm whilst typing this) with a firm majority between 3pm and now. Parts of Brisbane have had over 130mm in an hour and are completely submerged. Translink is almost completely at a standstill with almost all the trains suspended. Check the website if you wish. The MAJORITY of north and south Brisbane is completely cut off from the city.

Lightning bolts are going down everywhere - a 9m wave and 90+ km winds have just been recorded on the bayside.

There is no need to even compare both these terrible weather events.

We had close to 35,000 ticket sales and in perfect weather it could have hit 40,000.
