first thought- 'well thats a lie'
why?
looked pretty damn full out there, a few empty seats in sections
Was very disrespectful by NRL to abandon it last year...
I'm with you, bro. These days I find it hard to watch sporting events that aren't divided along racial lines.very disrespectful by NRL to abandon it last year...
We divide by national lines, why not race, culture or religion? no different to nationality in essence.

It's not divided though it's a celebration. People seem to keep insisting that the score has to have meaning and you have to"hate" one side to get into it.
The idea for the game has been and always will be about indigenous celebration. Nothing wrong with that except that will probably mean the game will have a limited life span.
Last nights game was the fifth in the series. The indigenous team leads the series 3-2, winning the last two games. Not saying the NRL All Stars don't want to win, but we know which team wants to win more. Because of this I expect them to dominate the series forever how long it may last.
While crowds attending games should never be counted by race numbers it would be interesting to know the breakdown between indigenous and non-indigenous there last night. I got the impression indigenous support at the game was much higher.
Five straight 20k crowd out of season suggests its going gang busters. Can you explain why it's got a limited lifespan?
Do people attend Harlem Globetrotters games expecting the Generals to win? The winner isn't relevant in this game.
Why would the makeup of the crowd matter? Would you consider a crowd of 25k ethnically Chinese a problem for example?
