^^^^ TBF its a bit tricky for the ARLC to predict the weather 5 months in advance....

Brisbane has horrible weather from October to mid April.

Not tricky at all - I would rather have no home games till round 5.

When we bailed from the Rabbits game we were looking at other current temperatures around the world and Brisbane was hotter and muggier than Singapore, Jakarta and Hanoi.

I have lived in a climate of negatives and have attended club Rugby games in 2-5 degrees and would do anything to sit in that rather than heavy humid conditions.

Hey VOR - would you rather sit in the humidity like bunnies/ last night or rain?

I would prefer rain. Easy fix, roof!

Something that was interesting - i was up in the 600's last night, row 75 and they have turbines up there that were sucking out air, just after the fireworks and it created the tiniest amount of air movement, such slight relief.

PS - I wore the plastic jersey round one, never again, ever.

Rubbish!! Dave Smith is a god! ;-)

Yeah. Who could have imagined it would be hot in qld early in the season..

Agreed. That said, the last couple of games have been hotter/more humid than normal.

I would prefer rain, too. My seats are out of the rain. :)

There was a bit of a breeze where I was, which was ok. Felt the post-try fire up on level 5 though!

Breathing materials only in this weather. Loved the look of the retro though. Was like the old days.

Probably wouldn't go necking ourselves over 40k to a club game just yet though.

Everything is relative. The fact that it is the worst ever will be bad for the end of season crowd averages. Getting 40k instead of the 50k it got in the past makes it harder to grow the crowd averages.

The last time 50K showed up for the Cows game was about 7 or 8 years ago. There's relative for you.

I reckon the three hottest sporting events I've ever attended have come in a short span of time.

Day 1 of the Aus vs India test at the Gabba, and the first two Broncos home games. Absolutely disgusting weather

Brookvale makes RL like a amateur pub game with that pitch, totally unacceptable. More mini Suncorps and less Brookie would see crowds go up as supporters would want modern stadium and not suburban grounds. The myth of the suburban ground is being busted this season as seen by the recent attendances compared to modern stadiums.

Just as some in Australia were home watching the cricket last night.

Interestingly some of the screens at Suncorp last night, that normally have the game on, had the cricket. Could see one at level three corner (western) from my seat! Between that, the game and Cricbuzz, I was on top of the footy and the cricket.

Damn you! I was fighting with the busy phone towers!

P.S - maybe not rain like this - 92mm in an hour and still p*ssing down here in Paddington!

With the quality of TVs today you can get a great experience at home. Plus their is no lineup for toilets and food. Plus after the game you don't spend the next hour trying to get home.

Now you can say the same thing about going to concerts. But the difference being with concerts you may attend one once or twice a year max. With the NRL you get twelve home games a season.

lol, I'm a rarity because most years I attend more concerts than NRL games.

2007 I believe .
I have been to every game ( Broncs v cows) since 06 & it has steadily declined .
Usually sits around 43k .
Last night was up against the Cricket .
Plus the humidity was atrocious .

I was up top in 718 .
Only got a wisp of a breeze every now & then .

Was worse on the train home ..the air con was hopeless .
