All the Rooster success the past 2 years and can't draw 10k to a game on a Saturday. Disgraceful success wasted. Eels/Tigers will draw the biggest Easter crowd.

Nah it won't... Not this year! Last year they were doing 6 tickets for $30 for Easter Monday... Unless they do it again it won't draw 50K again!

Crowd: 11,609 - Bloody good.

Great for a Monday, would of been 16k+ on a Saturday night but MNF is a certified crowd killer. Certain games shouldn't be put on a Monday if there known to draw crowds. Games such as Raiders/Roosters is MNF since it will always draw the same crowd no matter the time and day.

It's actually fine with a decent attendance and loud supporters, and if people are worried about the weather, alot of seats at ANZ Stadium are under cover.

Sure if you want a place with mid strength rubbish and nothing in terms of food before hand anywhere. Sure I don't HAVE to drink or have something to eat....but the SFS has all of that within walking distance. ANZ is awful, will only go there if it is absolutely essential.

As a Queenslander I realise you are about 20 years behind but yesterday afternoon our national cricket team was involved in this match called the World Cup Final. Cricket happens to be our countries national sport. It was being played at the same time. You have heard of cricket up there?

Yesterday was also Sunday, not Saturday. And as you said cockadoodledoo - there were a shitload of circumstances which kept the crowd to 9.5k.

i don't drink at the game. if i'm going to drink, i will before and/or after. with food you can bring your own or eat something before you get there and/or something after you leave. at the brewery near the stadium they normally have an alright bbq at the outside part, and inside they often sell food too. It's not that hard.

^^^^^ THIS

For f**k sake, if you follow a team - get to the stadium and watch a game
Station too far to walk? Catch a bus. Parking too expensive, park away from the stadium and walk the last mile to the ground. Beer not to your liking - drink before or after. Food too expensive.... eat at home before you go, you won't starve to death. Tickets are too expensive.... no they're bloody well not. My season ticket works out at about $12 a game.

The reason people don't go is because they just don't want to. They would rather sit at home and watch on TV. The game puts on a great product at a reasonable price and you can make a great day out of it. Why not get there and get involved?

If I miss a single game I get really, really disappointed. I go because I really want to be there. Its all about peoples mindset. f**king fire up.

Yes the Brewery that rip off place with mid strength rubbish. My point stands, I want a full strength drink. If you are going to charge me full strength prices it has to be that, not full strength prices for mid strength rubbish.

The one time I went to ANZ last year I went with 3 mates and we just snuck in a bottle of vodka and it was good. The stadium aint getting my business if they don't fix the drink rates at least. The food, meh I usually have Subway or something, but the drinks....I don't go to the game to get drunk, but I like 2-3 beers.

Drink at the Brewery! In regards to food, near the station (2 minute walk) there are some nice restaurants... You also have the Brewery that serve food, Maccas & Subway! The Novotel also have a bar and serve food!

This is the difference between NRL & AFL fans unfortunately... NRL fans are full of excuses!

If i remember correctly that 6 tickets deal was put on in the last phew days before the game?

Still a chance they will do the same again. It is for the farmers after all, might as well fill the joint.

Brilliant initiative.

Anyone know how tickets were selling a week out last year?

Plenty of tickets left in the cat1, 100s.

I would drink at the Brewery IF they didn't charge me $8 a pop for mid strength rubbish. That is full strength prices for goodness sakes.

I'm not going to care too much about the food, I can go 2 hours without it. I want a full strength beer before the game, I don't want watered down rubbish that you are charging through the roof for. Why should I be punished when I can very easily control myself just having 1-2 beers. In fact I don't drink during the game, never have really, but I love a beer before. It is why I love the SFS, every single pub around there has full strength beer within a 5 minute walk to the ground!

Which was forced- stop serving mid strength rubbish and I'm more than happy to pay $7-8 for a good beer. I wouldn't be forced into getting booze into the arena. Pretty easy though, there are gaps in the stadium, go with your mate, pass the bottle through. There was 8 of us though, I actually only had 2 drinks and unlike the others I didn't drink during the game. See...I know restraint. So again why am I being punished because some people are fruit cakes and can't control their booze. Stop serving them, it really isn't hard.
