I'm looking for other clubs members experiences over the years re: purchasing their memberships, recieving packs...efficiency of the whole process?

Wests Tigers for years seem to stumble and bumble their way through this procedure...we make it hard for ourselves with three grounds, still...every year there seems to be stuff ups galore...luckily I myself havent had too much drama though last years members cards the barcodes on them wouldnt gain us access through turstyles at ANZ.

Hows your club fare regarding the whole process???

last years ANZ membership for the tigers was definitely the best value. $50 for a member kit and 8 games

i think its $65 this year

If you added the flexi ticket option $25 for 2 games....it equated to 10 games for $75

Flex tix not there this year tho

well theyre playing 2 games at ANZ on that weekend. they obviously wanted to keep eels tigers on the monday after last years success.

and dogs souths makes sense (souths roosters is obviously the round 1 game).

and unfortunately that leaves no clubs that have anz as a home to my knowledge.

should still get close to, or even over 200,000 in the weekend which is a great result imo 25k avg.

Make it a special Easter show weekend for particularly the NSW based NRL clubs. It would work well. The people are there and they will go to the game! Not to mention the family friendly timeslots and the immense publicity associated with this event.

It should be a real consideration. The clubs can work out the money split that's appropriate. I'm sure it would be a winner and a great boost for the NRL in so many ways.

Yeah it's very good value for $90.

The Dogs I believe are trying hard to sign up more members. Seems to be lots of options available like Souths have as well.

Looked at the nrl website and saw that the pass by itself is $90. So great value

What gets me is that the easter show goes over 2 weekends, and for the first time we play a match on the Friday night at ANZ (which hasn't been the case previously). But really we should be smashing both weekends with games on those weekends. Why they didn't have another match on the Sunday afternoon is beyond me.

problem is.

TV contracts, nrl had to sell their soul last time for a much needed boost in revenue. so they can basically do whatever they want.

next time the nrl will bargain well and get a good offer (no first and last rights) and have a lot of power with scheduling.

a 7 or 8pm start won't be as effective as a 3pm with the easter show i reckon.

Thanks Dogs of War.

You are seeing the logic!

It's basically common sense but the lack of vision by NRL administrators is there for all to see.

I'd actually argue that they got it back from News ltd with them and 9 renouncing first and last rights.

Whats level of growth is needed to stay on track for the "400,000 by 2017" target??

From when they stated that it would have been 20% growth year on year. Last year the growth slowed a little and wasnt near 20%, i dont think its acheivable from here. Although 300k is ver likely which would still be a reasonable acheivement and maybe they should said that was the goal then aimed higjer again.

I still have not seen any mainstream adverts for the season or memberships, not much time left and really now is when you want high density advertising to get people keen and aware

The first game of the season is next Thursday. Can't believe we haven't had an official NRL ad yet. Casual fans are going to be shocked that the season is on them already!
