No shit, but they would sell more jerseys and make more cash if they actually showed the jerseys in the pre-order emails sent out this morning.

Well they've already had a Superman one and that's DC.

At least Melbourne have had 2 Dc superhero jerseys....

All I'm going off is ringing the merchandise dept at the club and asking since Souths are ISC, were they getting a Marvel jersey. And they lead me to believe that they were.

Whether or not they do remains to be seen.

I remember seeing the original on at Panthers around 2000 and it looked good then. This is a nice Jersey.

The black colour scheme they have now looks good but if they kept the brown/white that would've made them so much more unique

That Panthers shirt is a great heritage choice.

The allsorts design has been done to death, they did the V-design from their early seasons, and they've even done the 1980s (white with brown trim) one.

The only real options they had left for heritage were the 1970s vertical stripes, or an INVERSE version of the 1980s strip (brown shirt with white trim).. I'm glad they went for this - and they NAILED IT.

There's no way they would've chosen one of their post-1998 jerseys - its too soon to have rust and teal again... and I just can't see them ever using that horrid Superleague shirt, not if Gould has any say in the matter!

Given it's Penrith's 50th season next year, I'm keen to know if there will be a commemorative jersey.

Given that gold seems to be emerging as a major secondary colour (maybe as a throwback to the brown?), I am thinking black with a gold V, in the same design of the foundation jersey:

Change the brown to a metalic gold (like their training gear) and produce a version with the white changed to black and you have a perfect Home/Away combo. Perfect union of retro and modern Panthers!!!

I dont like the panthers Current jersey only in that a solid black is only distinct if it has NO colour (an unrealistic expectation considering the need for sponsors) so they need to either change to a distinct solid colour (like the pink jersey) or bring in a pattern like this.

Although brown seems to be one of the original colours of Penrith I think they should reserve it only for heritage. The colour just doesn't work in sports (only club I can think of that uses it is Hawthorn and it looks f*cking terrible) and black just looks sleeker and coupled with teal it can work well. Hope that didn't piss off too many Panthers :?
