@JerseySpotter: 2015 @SeaEagles Community jersey.

It's a crap Jersey due to sponsors, club and NRL logos, but I think it would make an absolutely fantastic supporter t-shirt.

Up close it makes sense, you can tell it's supposed to be an eagle, and all the grey shinyness from a distance is actually the names of all the local junior clubs

I dont understand why these designs need to be used as game-day jerseys. Can they not just produce training jerseys or "trial jerseys" and sell this shit off like that???

Its not a bad design but it looks aweful with all of the sponsors and badges.

Agreed re: Manly game day jersey. If these things are going to be completely ruined by sponsors (who cover the pivotal part of the design) then make them a "training" jersey.

Just saw the ISC Marvel jersey teaser ad on Facebook.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGn_130NXX4

I can now confirm Souths - as an ISC user - are not part of the promotion.

Manly seems to have ditched Wolverine (good call), so maybe AntMan (or ChrisPratt's charactor??)...
Canberra = Hulk.
Tigers, i reckon Black Panther is a safe bet (though Black Widow would be fantastic, id LOVE to see Robbie Farah in some cartoon boobs :sarcasm::sarcasm:)

Saints = IronMan probably.
Knights = would HAVE to be Spidy (though that is the same texturing they used on Vision)
Nqld = Thor again (lame!!!)
Easts = I reckon i was right about the Winter Soldier thing...

A little bit more of my rugby league soul will die with each yearly regurgitation of these marvel rags.

The Penrith brown strip is decent though.

It should just be Home, Away, Heritage and Alternative (Only if it clashes with something).

Although other jerseys are cool for new designs and are good for clubs who want a few more bucks, they just tarnish the rep of what the jerseys represent and what the club's image is.

I want Souths just to have red and green hoops with the odd white mixed in, I want the Dragons to have the red v in Kogarah and the red with white hoops in Wollongong etc etc. If they want to make a jersey for an occasion i.e. ANZAC Day and Indigenous Round, just use the regular jersey and change it slightly.

It's all about merch sales. Like most of the NRL these days it's about the $'s first and foremost. Expect it to only get worse in years to come.

I agree two-three playing kits a year and they can produce as many one off commemoratives as they like to sell fans but not play in them. Do fans really care if the team ever play in the marvel Jersey? If they like it they'll buy it to wear in the stands.

The two origin training shirts this year are nothing short of dogshit...

....but, it is still the best merchandising arrangement any team has put out. The product is there is people want to buy, but the rest of us need never acknowledge its existence.

The Warriors "Fire and Ice" training shirts in 2014 are similar; a bit shit, but who cares theyre training shirts.

I don't care how many jerseys or training shirts clubs churn out, they shouldn't play in 'em. Sell them by all means, and I will purchase other clubs jerseys I like.

The NRL badge on each jersey should be coloured/decorated for the themed weekend: WIL, Indigenous, ANZAC, etc.

Almost certain that the NRL operations manual states that if a jersey is for retail sale, then it must be worn by the team at least once during the season.

If the NRL had a decent marketing dept they could just use the novelty jerseys for marketing purposes ie during naidoc week they could have promotion using clubs and stars in the indigenous jerseys, adverts during Anzac week in Anzac jerseys etc. then no need for clubs to actually play in them.
