I just looked up highlights for that game back in 2000 in Canberra when it snowed, as it's soooooo f**ken cold tonigt also. And see Canberra at home wore the white jersey and tigers wore black.. Anyone know why this happened?

If the NRL had a decent marketing dept they could just use the novelty jerseys for marketing purposes ie during naidoc week they could have promotion using clubs and stars in the indigenous jerseys, adverts during Anzac week in Anzac jerseys etc. then no need for clubs to actually play in them.

Thats probably the best situation we could hope for...

The NRL do an official event to mark the NRLs campaigns and "release" jerseys from a few of the clubs + some non-partisan ones for people that want to support the concept, but dont like these teams. At least a portion of the profits would NEED to go towards a relevant charity, but this setup would let clubs go nuts with the designs without wecking their brand recognision on the field.

This was a one off jersey when Great Britain played the Raiders in 1992. I miss the simple jerseys. Looks a little bit like the Brumbies.

I love to colours (wish Newcastle would go with those shades), but for a dogs jersey thats pretty terrible...

It wouldnt be so bad on its own (it is a nice throwback to the War era), but in context of EVERY team having 5 different jerseys that look NOTHING like the clubs brand, its not a good look.

I can deal with the dogs wearing this a lot more then the Marvel jerseys. At least it was some form of history with club. Its disappointing its being worn this weekend because the dogs current jersey against the eels heritage would have looked awesome.

Yet everytime I see a screenshot I think "why are people posting that fairly generic Knights jersey??"
