ANZ II with a,roof
Can't come quick enough for mine ...

Basically 10 years of losing and we still get 80,000.
Origin would be dead if NSW won for this period of time.

Anyway,I agree, cant wait to see this

The ticket giveaway shemozzle only strengthens the case that Sydney shouldn't have two matches.

Take them to the MCG get where we will get a much larger crowd of paying attendees.

Put it in a decent stadium. I'm not paying $50 to sit right up the back of level 6, $80 to sit at least 50m away behind the posts or $220 to sit on the 20m line on the side line.

If people want to fair enough, but I hate ANZ so no way will I pay that much for it.

For mine the tickets prices are to expensive. My mates and I could only afford the cheap seats (still $50) while the platinum were upwards of $250

Great effort Sydney.

.....because Suncorp doesn't have the capacity?

Why do Blues fans use this non logical argument? Suncorp's capacity is less than ANZ.
Also, NSW's population is larger than Queensland's, Brisbane's is far smaller than Sydney's...hence the stadium size difference.

Queensland is doing it's job for RL selling out Suncorp, NSW, with a larger population, should be doing the same.
It isn't rocket science.

You're right, it's not rocket science.

Queensland have won NINE of the last ten series, NSW just ONE. Yet the average crowd each series at ANZ keeps rising.

If the shoe was on the other foot and NSW were dominate for a decade, you can bet your arse Suncorp wouldn't be selling out each time.

Hell, there are still tickets available for Game II now!

"Doing it's job", eh Queensland?

I love how you make these statements like they're somehow fact.

Shemozzle

Haha Timmah, give it a rest mate.

A mass amount of about 3,000 tickets (look out) were released to the public last night, these were previously held for Maroon memberships. Yes, we have an origin membership, that are $310 - $415 EACH.

You cant get a seat for lower than $168 + fees.

Plus, our tickets never have to be thrown out for $50 (2 for $50 with telstra code) like they do in Sydney.

If the NRL are pricing tickets such that they are sold to within 1-2% of capacity with a couple flogged off cheaper at the end, then in terms of revenue optimisation they are doing a pretty good job.

Origin may be expensive, but they seem to have the prices close to optimal.

Whether or not this is good for el pueblo is another matter.

Bring back the Rams!

That's quite incredible really. Given Perth has almost double the population, more expats and more transients.

The Adelaide numbers really stood out for me, when you look at the crowds the Rams got, they averaged 15,330 in their first year, that quickly dropped the year after. Compared with Souths at the time they are some good figures.

Can we just give it a rest with this "we sell better" ANZ got a really good 80k we have been getting really good crowds in Sydney for the last 6 years, obviously Suncorp will sell out as well, like it always does. Let's focus the baiting on the field like what was up with Walker? how does his stint compare with Buhrer's?

SLR do you think the NRL gives out the nosebleeds because know one is willing buy them at ANZ?

The only time those impaired view nosebleeds sellout is on GF day.

And if they are then do you think that will come to an end once ANZ is fully rebuilt with not a bad seat in the house?

Once ANZ is rebuilt to a 75k purpose built rectangular stadium imo those $50 tickets will be a thing of the past.

Don't know why game 1 is in June now

Early may be much less dew

Very impressive from Adelaide but it would've been 6.20pm in WA for KO, so that may account for Adelaide having more viewers

Yeah... I think a massive amount of the upper deck categories would be given out to sponsors to distribute how they wish.

Yep, initially the new ANZ Stadium will have ticket sales explode, at almost any price, people will be so keen to go. The NRL better be careful though, because as good as a new stadium can be, the novelty will wear off quickly is the price points are too high. The NRL clearly requires far better ticketing strategies.

As for the redevelopment itself, I don't think the upper deck is that saveable - though behind the sticks will be great, apparently "comparable" to Suncorp. I cannot wait to attend.

Not sure in Adelaide but in Perth it was buried on the digital channel with zero promotion leading up to it, so unless you were a RL fan the majority of WA probably had no idea it was on. Was it on Ch9 or digital channel in Adelaide?

Yep couldn't agree more.

From all reports the seats behind the sticks at the rebuilt ANZ will be the steepest incline in the country, even better viewing than Suncorp if that's even possible.

The Incline on the touch lines first level will be comparable with Suncorp. 2nd/3rd/4th/5/6 levels will have a steeper incline then Suncorps top levels. We also get the roof which gets rid of any excuse us Sydney siders might have about the weather.
